मैं खुद किसान हूं। खेती अपने लिए अलग से करता हूं और बेचने के लिए अलग से। क्योंकि अगर पेस्टिसाइड का उपयोग ना किया जाए तो चने के उत्पादन में 90% कमी आ जाती है। जितने क्षेत्रफल में 100 क्विंटल चना होता है , अगर पेस्टिसाइड ना छिड़का जाए तो 10 क्विंटल भी नहीं होगा।

My personal request to all the viewers of this episode: we have to meet the farmers and discuss with them. We have to ensure they are convinced of organic farming. We should ready to pay extra for poison less products.

सत्यमेव जयते की सारी टीम का बहुत बहुत आभार जो आपने इस विषय पर प्रकाश डाला।मगर में यह कहना चाहता हु की जो organic pesticides बाज़ार में उपलब्ध है उनकी cost बहुत ज़्यादा है जिसके उपयोग करने से किसान को cost थोड़ी ज़्यादा लगेगी पर उसको उस फसल का भाव भी अच्छा मिलेगा क्योंकि वो जैविक फसल है। हाँ अगर सरकार उन जैविक कीटनाशक दवाओं की कीमत पर सब्सिडी देती है तो हमारा देश तो सुरक्षित रहेगा ही साथ मे किसान को दाम भी अच्छा मिलेगा। में छत्तीसगढ़ में रहता हु जो largest rice producer state है इंडिया का और हमने यहां भी जैविक खेती अभियान चलाया है और उसके अंतर्गत मैने बहुत सस्ती और कारगर आर्गेनिक दवा बनाई है जो फसल में लगे फंगस,किट का तो नाश करता ही है साथ मे पौधे को नेचुरल तरीके से बढ़ने में मदद करता है और ज़मीन पर पड़ने से यह दवाई जमीन को जो न्यूट्रीशन की ज़रूरत है उसे भी यह दवाई देती है और यूरिया(जो ज़हर है) जो किसान भर भर कर अपने खेतों में डालता है ताकि फसल हरीभरी रहे,हमारी दवाई यूरिया का भी काम करती है साथ ही किट फफूंद को भी दूर रखती है। In one word this pesticide has multiaction work that controls all insects, fungus,good replacement source of urea as well as PGR for plants.. All along, I used to think that farmers in Punjab generally stick to traditional farming methods. (without using pesticides). This show is an eye opener indeed!

Farming without pesticides and chemicals is possible. Since 8 years, I am growing Israel Date palms Variety Barhee, Kinnow (Citrus Fruit) So far there has been no incidence of pest attack. I irrigate my field during day time and this also reduces pest attack. At my farm, my focus is on increasing Soil Organic Matter (SOM) and rest is taken care off. Now we intend to experiment and extend our horticulture activities by experimenting on Peaches, Thai Guava and apples.

WE should BUY ORGANIC PRODUCTS SO THAT WE PROMOTE MORE ORGANIC FARMING
