The punch's of the Frost's drum, the screams of Satyr, the guitar riffs without the classic coordination. Really, for those ages, a fucking masterpiece for the black metal! 👊

@Astute Cingulus Norway was unfortunately christened in the end. But we were the last of the TRUE PAGANS ON EARTH! Why do you think we burned curches still just 20-25 years ago. Some of us like me are and always will be pagans until Valhalla greets me in death. Death to Toxichristiantity & long live the old GODS the world serpent eats us all as we deserve, while Fenrir rides in wirg the wolfpack eating raw flesh of amything alive! Odinist for live!

Frost still amazes me in this song around the minute and a half point. Y'all know those WW1 heavy machine guns on top of which you had to throw water(snow) so they wouldn't overheat. I keep picturing people standing next to Frost with buckets of water just in case he suddenly bursts in flames around that fast part.

underrated album from the "true black metallers" ... but this work BLOWS everything in the whole black metal scene... no others wrote something similar... in past, present and (I suppose) in future days.

A rotating silver-colored plateau, drops that dance down the columns Blue, cold and the raging starwind Glowing colors at fearful speed Indistinct pictures of prophets and visionaries in a galactic fog In outer space on an axis In another reality on a supersonic journey Inevitably he can see it, the lights are going out and he knows If he just could make us understand In the emptiness there is nothing that can draw the picture you want Just a stillborn child on hands that fumble Raging, raging at incomprehensible pace The colors blinding, the plateau falls in outer hell They disclose that we had to die We bit the hand that fed us In outer space on an axis In another reality on a supersonic journey Is this what is yet to come, or a madman's reflection of the soul? As when his heart cried out in pain when he perceived what Burdens we were to bear

Satyricon is just a great ban in general. Every album has its good tunes. To define whether an album was better than the rest is to fail to look at the big picture.
