Medina (Madinah), Saudi Arabia. The second holiest site in Islam. But what is it.. A mosque, a city? And how is it to live there?
In order to find out, I met up with a bunch of locals who took me around Medina and gave me a wonderful look behind the curtain of this fascinating city, the food, and it's people.
As always, please be respectful to the people who were so kind to let me (and also you!) in their lifes. This video is not about politics, it's about cultures.
P.s Stupid spelling Mistake from myside.. my friend's name is Rafaa.. (not Raffa like written in the video) 🤦

I don't understand why you have a problem when there are separate places for women and places for men. There is a separate bathroom for men and a bathroom for women. So what's the problem with having separate places for men and women? I find this a good thing. In European countries and some American countries, there are many girls who want places that have their own places and they are all women without men so that they can rest and stay away from the harassment of some men but not all of them, and this is also a good thing and not a bad thing

Hospitality is part of our religion. It is must for every Muslim to feed the guest and help the traveller.
@AMIRULHAQE
@AMIRULHAQE Жыл бұрын
The reason for such hospitality and kindness is there in the mosque itself, its the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. The prophetic teachings and the religion Islam have made communities around the world with a similar culture. I have been to Madinah many times. With all this westernization, not sure when will the currently boasted culture and hospitality will fade away. Hope people will not become more selfish and materialistic.

Welcome to your second country, Saudi Arabia. I will correct the information of your guest who I think is not a Saudi... First: In Islam there are laws for a woman to deal with a foreign man. For example, it is not permissible for her to accompany or shake hands with a foreign man, neither religiously nor according to Arab customs. What happened in restaurants was a decision of the government and not a popular decision, I As a Saudi, I am not comfortable with the two sections opening families with young people. In the past, my wife and I used to eat in privacy. Now we are all uncomfortable with eating and there are strangers next to us, as if we are in a Western country. This is not part of our morals, our values, nor our religion, just as Saudi women refuse that because of their modesty. Mecca, Jeddah and Medina are mixed cities. You will find many non-Saudis living in Saudi Arabia for decades, but their culture is different from the original inhabitants, so what they say expresses the culture of the country from which they came Not about our culture, just as governments and peoples change, but the texts of the Qur’an and Sunnah do not change.. The story is that if we are truly Muslims, we must follow God’s laws.. Not that we change for the sake of tourists or governments etc.. Certainly the Saudis, their culture is not the same, but if he says a Muslim and wants to accompany a girl, for example, this contradicts our Islamic principles and Arab customs. To understand Islamic culture, listen to Islamic scholars and Muslim preachers, who are many on KZfaq, such as: Sheikh Assim Al hakim ، Dr Muhammad Salah ، Shaykh Abu Usamah At-Thahabi ، Sheikh Shamsi ، Sheikh Mufti Menk Dr. Laurence Brown and Dr.Tahir Wyatt, Saajid Lipham, Joe Bradford ,Nicholas Pelletier, Yusuf Estes,، Samuel Sharcher, Sheikh Othman bin Al-Farouq، Sheikh Othman Al-Khamis ـ Shaykh Hasan Somali ،Shariffa Carlo Al Andalusia, Abu Mussab Wajdi Akkari Abdur Raheem McCarthy's - ـ Ustaadh Muhammad Tim Humble - Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Dimashqieh ـ Ruba Qewar ، Shaykh Wasim Kempson ، Ibrahim menk + Adnaan Menk . I think the guy with the black shirt is a Pakistani or something like that. With all due respect, not the best guy to give you the whole picture of Medina history and present. Not meaning he said something wrong. But he isn't even from those family who lived decades in the town. So in my opinion he can't talk on behalf of the local residents.

It's within the king's hands but in islam we don't watch films, they are actually prohibited, some non following muslims still watch, but it is clearly prohibited. Because we cannot watch at any woman besides our wives, mother, sisters, daughters(called mahrams), we respect women and we cannot watch them naked in those films by offering some money, if clearly thought that would be just a smaller version of a strip club. We honour women. A verse of the Qur'an says, and tell the believing men(o Muhammad) to lower their gaze. So we are not only protected from looking at other women but also to lower the gaze, if feeling inappropriate, just protect your modesty. Like you talk to a king/queen lowering your gaze.

For future reference, if you decide to return to Madina, don’t add music in the video as it is not permissible in Islam. Having it play in the background as you show scenes of such a holy place can be offensive to many people.
