According to Bloomberg, Saudi officials issued a veiled threat, suggesting they might sell off European debt holdings, particularly those issued by the French treasury, if the G7 proceeded with the move.

@@FunnyBunny-pd5xx dear expert, you probably do not know that quite a big chunk of the money or the assets of Russia are American State Bonds. So if they steal them, the first thing that would happen is - they will damage the USD dominance. Secondly, if Saudi decides not to use the USD as main currency for selling its oil, it will further damage hte USD. So you should probaly learn a thing or two about the global processes before yapping crap here and there. What will you do when the dollar is badly damaged? What will they pay you for parroting with?

It is quite strange that the West did not report at all on how Saudi Arabia did not renew the petrodollar deal with the USA after 50 years. The contract expired on 9 June 2024. This may have a potential impact on the global economy.

The idea to simply steal the money of a Souvereign State without any legal basis whatsoever is a horryfying sign for the rest of the world. The whole financial system is based on mutual trust and one it's gone it gets very difficult to reestablish. I would simply refuse to invest my money any longer in a system, that can take my money away anytime just by a decision of a government. The heavily indebted West needs to attract investors to finance its existance and not chase away everybody who is still,investing there.
