Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman has skipped the G7 Summit that is being held in Italy. He was invited by Italy PM Girogia Meloni but could not travel to the EU Nation for the summit due to his commitments to Hajj pilgrimage, Saudi Gazette reported. Watch the video for more details.

The Saudi Crown Prince is the de facto leader, taking on the responsibilities for his father, the King, who is the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The Haj is a yearly pilgrimage with millions of devoted Muslims around the world entering Mecca and Medina. The Crown Prince oversees this holy event and should stay in the country during the pilgrimage. He has things to do. He shouldn't be leaving the country. There may have been some other reasons, but he has good relations with Modi and with Macron and probably a few more. Not everyone gets along with everyone, but protocol and diplomacy rules in all cases. I truly believe that if he had left the country to attend the G7 Summit during Haj, he would have been criticized for his actions. Bottom line - he made the right and correct decision.
