Saul Goodman shows Walt a cash-only business that's full of fun.
From Season 3 Episode 13 Full Measure:
After killing the drug dealers, Walt has a tense meeting with Gus, who makes it clear that his patience has reached its limit. Walt professes not to know the whereabouts of Jesse, who he falsely claims has fled the state. Gus chooses Walt's new assistant, who turns out to be Gale. In a meeting with Gale, Gus says that with his overhead he cannot afford to lose even a week's production. Walt realizes Gus intends to replace him with Gale, the only other trained chemist, and that he will be killed once Gale masters Walt's procedure. After he is abducted by Gus's men, Walt calls Jesse and orders him to murder Gale, knowing that Gus will have to keep him (and by extension Jesse) alive once he is the only trained chemist left. Victor races to Gale's apartment to stop this, but Jesse arrives first and, after some hesitation, pulls his gun on Gale and fires.

Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.

Skyler was right though. No one in Walt’s circle would have believed it. Saul caters his services to criminals who don’t care about what people think of them. Much different with Walt who can’t afford to arouse suspicion.

He is a lawyer. He doesn't give away his clients or share private informations that fall under Attorney-Client privilege. If anything, Mike probably respect that and it's telling him Saul will go through the same level of dedication to back him up.

Despite the desert story, Mike and Saul are not all too loyal to each other and they have an unspoken agreement that they will just use each other for specific errands but they do not work alongside. But what you point out, is really interesting and goes to show how self-serving, opportunistic and sleazy Saul has become over the years. Every reasonable person would side with Mike here given that Mike is much more competent, reliable and experienced than Walter. If you remember, Mike strongly advised Saul against working for Walter but Saul saw a grand opportunity in him and decided to play along with the chaos the Walter comes with. Stupid decision really, but Saul is an opportunist and decided to choose the high-risk, high-reward path of supporting Walter instead of seeking reliability.

@@ivaylozhelev8621 Given their interactions and how they helped eachother early in BCS I would like to think Mike liked jimmy but hates saul. I think Mike respected Jimmy most when he was ready to go to jail for Nacho and when he wouldnt take the money because he was doing "the right thing" (something saul would never do). Jimmy though a criminal had a code and there were lines he wouldnt cross. I would like to think Mike respected that but he has no respect for saul who has taken over Jimmy.

Wow! I grew up just blocks from this place. That is Hinkle Family Fun. Don't know if that place is really closed. There is a movie theater in the shot when the door closes. That theater just closed late 2022. I saw Pulp Fiction and many other films there when they came out. Memories!
