The power hitting in ODI CRICKET gradually got to flourish era by era ; during the late 70's , it was really unbelievable if the batting team surpassed or came near about the total of 300 run mark even in 60 overs a side; then after that era , during the late 80's or so , the 50 overs per side became a permanent rule in the game where the batters then had to chalk out a certain plan to accelerate the run rate at any given period ; then arrived the 90's where the first 15 overs field restrictions per side became a rule and the upper order batters started exploiting this advantage which resulted in maintaining a very healthy run rate at least at the initial stages ; then after that came the POWERPLAY rule which makes us confused quite often that whether we are witnessing a limited overs cricket match or enjoying a certain movie clips where there is bit of a portion of cricket in it ; GOD knows what's going to be the next ?????? 😂😂😂😂
