താങ്കൾ പറഞ്ഞതെല്ലാം 💯%ശരിയാണ്.പത്തനംതിട്ടയിലെ ഒരു മലയോര ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ നിന്നു പഠിക്കാനായി 18 വയസ്സിൽ ബാംഗ്ലൂർക്ക് വണ്ടി കയറിയ ഞാൻ,ഇംഗ്ലീഷും ഹിന്ദിയും പഠിക്കാനുള്ള ആഗ്രഹത്തിൽ പാട്ടുകളും സിനിമകളും കാണാൻ തുടങ്ങി.ഭാഷ പഠിക്കാനുള്ള എല്ലാ അവസരവും ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തി.ഇപ്പോൾ 31വയസ്സുള്ള എനിക്ക് അത്യാവശ്യം ഇംഗ്ലീഷും വളരെ നന്നായി ഹിന്ദിയും സംസാരിക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്നുണ്ട്.സിനിമ കണ്ടു നന്നായി തമിഴും പഠിച്ചു.മലയാള ഭാഷകൊണ്ടു കേരളത്തിന് പുറത്തു ഒരു പ്രയോജനവുമില്ല എന്നൊരു തിരിച്ചറിവും ഉണ്ടായി.

Clarity of thought, clear pronunciation and clean language. These are the 3 things which set you apart.

I have an english literature background. Later moved to visual communication and then management. From kerala and have now spent time in 4 countries for various periods of time due to the nature of my job. I have a few suggestions to add. 1. Avoid thinking in Malayalam and then translating it to english in real time. When living in an English speaking country, start thinking in English. This helps shape your mindset which is the backbone of linguistic capability. 2. Read books. This is what saved me. I was a voracious reader from childhood. Sentence formation happens almost subconsciously if you read. No need to study grammar. 3. Watch loads of English movies to grasp the common man's street language. This is what people speak. 4. Hang around with all types of people and talk in English as much as possible. Practice well.

Nice presentation & content. Eventhough on this topic i have a different opinion. I don't think there is a problem in setting a goal to speak English the way english people speak instead of speaking it the way a malayali speak english. When you learn a language the goal should be to speak the way it should be spoken and to be pronounced. We don't have to limit it with the way we speak our mother tongue. I do agree that in the beginning you don't have to be focused on the it much, but eventually its good to learn the correct pronunciation. I am referring to your last comment at the end of the video. I just wanted to share my opinion. But i am a regular viewer of your uploads and presentations is quite entertaining & informative. I really enjoy it. Keep going!👍

even after 10 years of life life here , it is hard to complete an office telephone without bit astonishment. but they understand. Philippine nurses are more welcome in this country because of their English , while Indian counterparts (previous decades) still struggles. Their assistants from this country origin sometimes speaks and takeover charges on communication with the patient families. Its a famous advise here that to overcome this deficiency we have to be 400% productive.
