.. great video. My 1:9 .223 Lithgrow is shooting Sierra 55grn Blitzkings and Sierra 69grn Match kings really consistently @100. I've shot the 69grn to @1000 yards but it was over 2 MoA. @500 yards it was subMoA for 5 rounds. I've just reloaded some 65grn Game Kings over N133 to test. Have fun, I love ammo testing!

Depending on how they spread, I would personally consider 2 MOA at 1000 to be like 1/4 or .5 MOA, given how much the slightest variation in wind will move that projectile around. 1 mph x-wind is roughly an MOA on its own (like 13"). I might be biased because of conditions I often experience, but with gusty or any variable winds swirling? At 500 yards that same misread comes out more like 2.5" of drift, so I'd be thrilled with what you accomplished and just assume the wind did something to make it seem larger than if truly calm or consistent would reveal. When I hold the anemometer up...it almost NEVER sits at 1 number. I see it constantly jumping around from like 5 or 6 to 12. That would be like 5 feet of drift at 1000! haha. Even at 100, that comes out to .42". Now you have me curious...was your 1000 yd - 2 MOA spread in the horizontal, or vertical (drop diff due to velocity changes)?

@@ShastaBean ...the wind was ok at around 5mph which needed 5-6 MoA but the spread was even, partly due to having no cantilever on my rail, so I needed to use 25 MoA in my scope reticle, which wasn't ideal! At 900 it was 12 MoA and much easier to aim so was able to shoot to 1 MoA (and on bull). I was actually quite happy with the 1000 yard groups as I'd gone from 100 zero and my elevation was based on estimated muzzle velocity - but I was only 1 MoA out (calculated 42, but needed 43!). I have a 30 MoA rail now but haven't been back to 1000 yards since then but I think a 1-2 MoA spread would be excellent if I can do it! Enjoy your shooting.

Did a bomb go off in that shooting range? What the hell happened to the roof😂 must be a police qualification range 😂

there's a police range just down the road from this public area. But yeah, it's ridiculous how much the roof is holed. Granted, it could be very old, but to think those are all accidental? Scary. Intentional? Also scary.

thanks! I added chapters since you reminded me. There are a few others w/this rifle & factory ammo. I could probably do another 10 w/how many types I bought a few years ago. pfft. Happy w/how it shoots pretty consistently regardless of type.

Really, you are shooting a. 223 off a lead sled !!!

Any guesses as to why? would you suggest shooting one-hand while jumping up & down and on the run to test for groups & POI?

@ShastaBean Hears the deal, I am a former US Army Sniper. I still shoot and test loads and I don't need something to hold my rifle for me. I may use a bag for the front. That was a stupid reply, I never said you have to shoot one handed.

@@stevegross6873 if you have anywhere near the experience that you claim in utube comments (highly doubt), then certainly you'd understand the difference when testing - to be stable. I don't shoot just one gun when at the range, and I am certainly not going to move the sled around and switch to a bag or whatever makes you excited - to go from .338 to .223...that would make me a dork. Just like putting comments like yours does, to you. You are a loner in this regard. Have a look around. Very few other people would ever say something so dumb. So yes, it very much warrants the dumb reply I sent back.

@@stevegross6873 and one last thing...if you are going to make claims in comments, and not desire to look a fool, then post your videos that substantiate the claims. Otherwise, nobody believes you. Put up you sniper testing vids with you shooting off-hand....one hand, or two. Would love to leave from some "expert".
