This is why C7 ZR1 is more likable than C8Z06. The former is much more moddable, whereas C8Z06 engine is on such close tolerances and high compression that it needs so many changes to add huge power.

@@johncena-hq1ti the LT6 engine has tight tolerances and super high compression. It's well known in the modding community that it takes too many changes to boost it for power. It's not even about the ECU. It's produced as a max effort NA engine that would detonate if boosted as is because it wasn't designed for turbos. C8 ZR1 is the way to go for minor mods or major boost mods. Get your head out of the Z06 balls. C7 ZR1 is mod friendly because the LT5 was designed to be boosted from factory and aftermarket.

It will be a very long time until we see modded c8zr1s. There’s twin turbo lambo v12s with 2000hp. On an engine that people used to say would be trash for mods, just took 5+ years of R&D. The base c8s are just now starting to make big power and actually put it down. 2-3 years and there will be 1000hp z06s for sure. There is no engine that people will not modify especially a Chevy.
