She is coming alive the longer the video the better she got! I hope you found the 17mm hex for the wheel! It won’t be long now brother👍👍👍

Thanks 🙌 I didn't find the hex nut. Have you tested different glow plugs in your Nitrostar 4.6? I'm not sure what is best, probably os#8? Thanks for watching and commenting buddy 🙏

@@electricnitrorc hi Friend I’ve never owned the f4.6 so I’m not able to advise you I try to run OS plugs if budget allows an mc or os 8 would be my advice without a hot plug I’ve idle won’t be great and tune will be affected 👍

How can you start a day better than watching a brand new hpi savage doing its first runs 😁 Runs really nice. I like the cage for the engine. Sad you lost the wheel at the end. That is mostly end of story 😅 Looking forward to more videos of it 🤩

Thanks a lot my friend 😊 glad you enjoyed the video. The engine protection looks awesome 😀 more videos are coming on this beast 💪

@@electricnitrorc Why you lost the wheel?Savage's nuts never loosen
@electricnitrorc3 күн бұрын
I checked before driving that the wheel nuts weren't loose. Maybe I didn't use enough power. In the next run, I tightened the wheels after some running and noticed the right front wheel wasn't totally tightened either. On the left wheel I put on a more serrated nut from Kyosho. Maybe I just been unlucky .Other than that I haven't had a single issue 👍

I own the 5.9 gtxl I suggest to change your tank to to a arrma petrol tank u will have less leaning out problems once below half a tank ....... watch Kevin talbot for some tips on them if youre unsure
@electricnitrorc5 күн бұрын
Yes I noticed that today when I had tuned my engine. Worked ok but had to drive richer than I would like when the tank was full. I guess you mean Traxxas? I have never seen ARRMA nitros. Thanks for the tip. If it bothers me in the future I will check it 🙌👍

towards the end of the video when you started to richen the low speed it started to blow a small amount of smoke. can't wait until it's fully tuned bro.

I only use the o.s. #8 standard in my engines never had a problem at all.
@electricnitrorc9 күн бұрын
That's the plug I usually use 🙂 Unfortunately I don't have any new #8. Have a couple of #6 but that's probably not the best plug for that engine/fuel. You have any experience with OS #6?
@favulus19 күн бұрын
@@electricnitrorc none at all. I'm sorry. If the #8 isn't available I use this one. LRP Platinum/Iridium Standard Glow Plug (R4 - Medium)

Man, I'm new to the rc nitro world, but we need to stop doing the break-in at idle. This is wrong, it’s not for nothing that manufacturers say to break in with speed. About gasoline two-stroke engines, which are more popular than nitro, all users have known about this for a long time

Comparing a gas engine to nitro doesn’t work. Apples and oranges. The break in process is different for both. Adam Drake has been racing nitro for over 20 yrs. His break in procedure includes several idle tanks. Pretty sure he knows what he’s doing.
@reaklyf34514 күн бұрын
@@evil14life Adam Drake probably doesn’t even know the physics and chemistry of engine processes, this is purely practice, which cannot be compared with real knowledge. Traxxas, Kyosho, Losi recommend running it at speed. Traxxas specifically states that running it at idle will not give the “best” results. They tested their cars on the stand for hours, it's not just like that.
@favulus19 күн бұрын
it has to be running lean it's not even smoke from the exhaust.
@electricnitrorc8 күн бұрын
You are probably right. But there was almost no smoke with both HSN and LSN flushed. Smoke is one indicator with a few others like sound, throttle response etc
