We stop off & look at Burke & Wills Camp 119 & check out what is left of the blazed trees.
Spent a bit of time checking out Leichhardt's Falls.
At Burketown we see the Artesian Bore & the site of the Boiling Down Works near town.

Good video and road tips. We've just done Borroloola to Hells Gate, Gregory River, Burketown and are camped up at Leichhardt Falls. Heading into Normanton tomorrow. I'll leave the tyres alone Cheers

Videos on these places are hard to find. Wanted to see the conditions on that road before we decide to do it. Doing King Ash bay to Burketown Via Camooweal and across to Kurumba towing a boat, thanks so much well worth the effort I think, cheers.

Is it dangerous to travel through areas like this in Australia? Have you ever heard of the Burrunjour?

It can be dangerous just driving through the city......... I have never felt worried about travelling in any of Australia. We have been doing it for 40 years & never had a bad experience. Having said that preparation is the key to a safe trip. We are experienced in this sort of travel & are self sufficient. We also have reliable communications should something happen that we can't handle ourselves. I am pretty sure the Burrunjour is extinct.. Safe Travels PMK3AUSTRALIA
