Servicing the tansmission on your Land Rover is one of the easiest DIY jobs you can do. Here's a quick guide on changing the oils on the diffs, transfer box and manual gearbox on my Discovery 3, LR3. It's avery similar job on most manual Land Rovers and all you need are a couple of cheap tools to add to your workshop and you'll save £100s on servicing costs.

Great video as always buddy, I had one of those terrafirma drain trays and I'll be brutally honest it went in the bin after the first use, even with both the bungs removed it wouldn't take the waste quick enough when I was doing an engine oil change. Was very disappointed. That pump you've got looks a handy thing though 👍🏻

Wonder timing! I have to change the oils in mine shortly, it has done 110,000 since the last oil change, no issues but I think it is overdue, it may be a good idea to pressure wash these areas before removing the plugs, if only to save getting an eye full of mud! Stay safe! Chris B.

Thanks for such a great tutorial vid matey! Given me the confidence to do mine now as this is a real world demo of how I'd have to do it, with the truck on the tarmac. As great as LR Time's vids are we don't all have a ramp or pit to use. Being a Plumber I'm no stranger to tools but I'm a proper noob with vehicles.
