In this video I demonstrate how I used hardware that I purchased for $6.50 From my local ACE to rebuild a 1955 Willys truck inner latch assembly. This service typically costs 200 bucks a side and frankly I wasn't going to pay that and I don't believe anyone else should. every part in this assembly is either replaceable with a cheap alternative or rebuildable with little creativity.
The hardware is as follows ( enough for each Double if you're doing both, x4 for a wagon)

Qty 1- 5/16 18 Tee nut
Qty 1- 5/16 18 Socket Cap Screw
Qty 1- 10-32 x 1/2' Machine Screw and nut
Qty 6- 10-32 X 3/4" flathead machine screw
Qty 6 - 10-32 nuts to weld to broken studs
Tools
Hammer
grinder
Cutoff Wheel
Safety glasses
Wire Wheel
wire brush
Drill
3/8, 3/16, 1/8 metal bits
punch
Flathead screw driver
Chisel you don't care about
Allen wrench set and ratcheting socket wrench set
2 clamps of any kind to hold the two halves together for final re-assembly
I used a welder I think JB weld could work in this application if you didn't have access to one
Another note the one I rebuilt in this video was and obvious replacement at some point. Compared to the passenger die one in my jeep which I know is original the fitment and quality of how the parts interface together as well as the thicknesses of those parts was not the same. Likely the one I rebuilt was a cheap replacement part at some point. The genuine one was actually much easier to put back together i mention why at the end of the video. It goes without saying things aren't made like they used to be.
