Centerforce Clutch recently released an upgraded clutch for the 3rd Gen Manual Tacoma that I wanted to give a try out as an upgrade on our 2019 Manual Transmission Overland Tacoma build. Living in southern UT we naturally took the truck to St. George Transmission and Automotive to do the install for us and documented the process.

I sell pre made accumulator delete bypasses if you’re interested in ordering one. In my opinion, it’s one of the best upgrades to help the clutch feel more consistent. I posted a video on my channel if you’re curious

I'm interested if you can ship to Canada. I'm replacing my clutch as we speak. Not sure if I can get a Centerforce Clutch here I've tried for days but could be too expensive to ship here. I guess the AISIN clutch with new flywheel, TOB and the delete mod will be an upgrade no matter what.

Save the 6 speed manual trans RC62F in production. Still can be ordered for '23. I like the upgrade with the legendary center force clutch In your video. I used rebuild transmission. Love my '21 army green tacoma 4wd trd off so much fun to drive. Do you think Toyota will offer the manual in 2024 along with the new engines and rear suspension?

Dude that's a badass clutch setup I would love to have one of those in my 🛻💨! I heard the stock clutch will last a long ass time I don't know how long they'll last if you go off-roading with it tho & you're carrying a lot of weight if I'm not mistaken so that's definitely a worthy upgrade for u I bet

I hope this helps, I have a 2021 trd off-road with a 6 speed, and I’m very rough on vehicles off-roading especially. My OEM clutch blew up at 15,000 after I got it hot, and took it through a river. On the other hand, no one really had clutches out at the time, so I got one from Phoenix Friction, and it lasted me 50k miles, and is just now starting to go out. Like I said, rough miles 👍🏻 hope this helps

I have a stock clutch and so far no worries on it, 40k miles on my truck and the clutch release throwout bearing is chirping badly. food for thought but at this point, I am debating on replacing the clutch anyways and getting the rear main seal done as well if the transmission is coming out anyways. such a stupid problem to have early on.

Heavy rotating mass increases inertial torque. It doesnt increase the steady torque, as in towing or climbing grades. Just adds mass to help maintain some rpm at the time point a load is applied, such as a launch in drag racing, or clutch-out in offroading, or at shift point when under acceleration.

I’m running a bit of a mix suspension wise but mostly ICON. Tire wise I’m running 285/70/R17 which is basically a 33” tire. You might also want to consider doing a regear if you are going up in tire size. I’m running 4.88’s but 5.29’s are also a good option. I have an Instagram page as well by the same name as this channel with some more pictures of the truck if you want to check that out too. Thx!

I see the advantages of the this clutch setup but theres also disadvantages in heavier rotational mass. Your engine will struggle more to spin that heavier flywheel. Hows your MPG after the install? How was your 0-60 affected? How was your engine breaking affected? Does anyone know the long term affects on you engine and driveline with this heavier flywheel. These engines are low in HP already, i wonder how much this paracitic HP loss would affect it. Keep us posted and give us a long tern review.
