I mean if your having trouble with it then just have him have the ten shadows for the what if deku was Mahoraga. So he can kind have a challenge. Since I believe with the ten shadows technique you could have the ability of your summons with either a vow to sacrifice the summons for you to have the ability of them and etc or maybe learning reverse cursed technique to allow him to have access to their abilities

Remember that short you posted titled: "I Need Some Ideas"? The one for the Mahoraga what if? Well, I think I kinda cooked. Just sayin'. You know what, I'll just copy paste it here: "YO PRINCE I JUST HAD AN IDEA (after a month, pathetic I know). But it goes like this: He is a NOMU that escaped from the lab (or whatever). He is a nomu and it could be like a Choso situation where he doesn't know if he's a human or a nomu, and he has a similar talk like what Choso had with Yuki. Maybe it'll be something like how when he is in a test tube, he communicated with other nomus and became their big brother like Choso was to the cursed wombs. He looked human enough so maybe he could fit into society, but all his brothers looked like monsters, so he chose the easy way out and became "villains" (heavy air quotes). And maybe you can have some of the nomus join him and stuff. God I love myself." God I love myself.
