i got a 06 honda crf450r not too long ago....and i bought it from some guy at a race, and it rode good, but after a while it started to act up and have minor issues with some things youve talked about over your tech videos. Ive been looking for how to videos on these problems on how to fix them myself and these are by far the best! Hey, it beats a mechanic who charges $700 for labor and all he did was change one $50 part. Thanks a lot! And my bike runs a lot better now by the way!!

@Pendlezzzzz No, air filter oil is made for a reason. Engine oil is not sticky or consistent enough. It will just go to the bottom of the filter and not trap dirt. Filter oil stays on the filter and collects dirt as it is designed to do.

hi, my friend cleans his filter and then just uses regular oil to put on it, is this ok to use once or twice or should he be using filter oil all the time?

Notoil is no toil they have a special dissolvable soap and great oil etc and it's environmentally friendly bam... I use it and love it

I have a solvent tank... its a plastic 55 gallon drum cut in half long ways with a hole in the bottom with a sink drain..i put a grate from an old grill in it... ya i hace a solvent tank because i didnt sit on the internet and bitch and moan about it, i made one.

Yes, you can use any brand filter oil. They all do the same job.

Nick Heighington stay away from 2003-2006 Crf250r’s , past that you should be fine

I'm sure it would, but that's not really what they were designed for. Filter skins are cheap enough.

Any type of soap will not break down the filter oil and dirt like solvent or a filter cleaner will. Stick to what works, a detergent won't clean the filter enough.

+Kristin Cottam 5'6 is tall enough to ride a 250. I'm 5'6 myself and have never had a problem with it being too tall. You can always shave the seat down if it's an issue.

No man, regular oil is very different to filter oil. Use filter oil only.

Try to cover the entire filter, but most importantly the outside surface needs to be completely covered to trap all dirt.

Yes very important, it makes the dirt harder to get through into the bike

richard perelonia The oil is what traps the dirt from passing through the filter. It is absolutely necessary.
