Wow! Zack and Slater's lil 'freshmen salute' was not only deemed acceptable, but the audience even found it amusing. I vividly recall this physical gesture being a common practice among youths during this era of the early 90's. I always find it interesting when a gesture, phrase, slogan or chant is acceptable by the masses one minute, and then regarded as politically incorrect, obscene or derogatory the next minute. In another scene, Zack insults Screech using a specific name sometimes used in the LBGTQ+ community.
