I have no issue with Annie changing race, I thought the actress was pretty good choice. The thing that I disagreed with is making it take place in modern day and showing off all the technology. Can’t stand movies that try to do obvious marketing.

Black girl here- saw this movie when I was 6 and I did not give a damn if Annie was purple. Proves that the only people that care are disgruntled adults that are upset when even the smallest things are changed for an adaptation

I don’t care if she’s Caucasian or coloured what matters is that she does her best the same way like the original would agree hell you could ask Ashley Johnson when she was playing that character only difference it wasn’t a movie. I just can’t believe how people would be so picky, and so against other people for not doing their best.
