I am a Christian and I do not believe that there is a 'War on Christmas' going on. Yes, I do think it has become over commercialized, and I always use the Merry Christmas greeting, but how is someone saying Happy Holidays or Season's Greetings a war on Christmas? And nobody is telling me that I cannot decorate my home for the holidays or making me take down my Christmas Tree on my property.

I love how he featured an entire scene about how many Christmas traditions are actually ripped off from Pagans, and still ended it with, "naaaah!" also, that token black guy was SO cringeworthy.

What the four-eye says is actually true. Basically nothing in Christmas has anything at all to do with the Bible. Its origins are pagan (do a bit of research on the origin of Christmas and how it was introduced into Christianity), and none of the traditions and symbolism is biblical, but much of it is taken from pagan cultures. Christmas is like a mish-mash of pagan traditions (many of which go blatantly against what the Bible commands). Moreover, there isn't even one single example of the followers of Jesus celebrating his birth or commanding others to do so. (Of course from a scholarly point of view the entire narrative of Jesus' birth is most probably completely fictional, invented and written down almost 100 years after it allegedly happened, but that's an entire topic in itself.) "Put Christ back in Christmas" is quite a misnomer because Christ has never been in Christmas. Personally I'd recommend doing the exact opposite: Remove "Christ" from Christmas. Excise all religious baggage from it, and celebrate it for what it is: A joyous occasion of family reunion, socialization, gift-giving and appreciation.

Saving Christmas Makes "The Room" Look like "Diesaster Movie"

I love how the guy tells Kirk that Christmas is not about Christianity and gives plenty of evidence... Yet Kirk just don't give a shit about the evidence and just say it's about Jebus even though he was just told that Jebus was born a few months after Christmas... I just love that he does not give a shit about evidence and just carry on lying.

"Happy holidays" seems to me an enlightened and inclusive greeting. It acknowledges Christmas, New Year's, Hanukkah, the Winter Solstice (Yuletide), Kwanzaa, and Thanksgiving for Americans. It's really an acknowledgement that, "Hey, this world is bigger than me and what I may choose to celebrate at this time of year." I see this as spreading goodwill, the "holiday spirit", if you will. Leave it to the evangelicals to make it all about them. I mean, NO OTHER celebration but Christmas is valid, so use of the phrase must be the rest of humanity declaring war on their poor persecuted religion.

Everybody is free to choose what to celebrate on Christmas, I choose to glorify Jesus, there is no reason to attack or offend other people believes

I'm so sick of people like Kirk Cameron claiming that Christmas has been "hijacked." People like him remind me of whiny little kids who throw tantrums when they have to share something they want all for themselves. "No! Christmas is about Jesus! I don't wanna say Happy Holidays! I want everyone else to celebrate Christmas MY way!" First of all, we encourage people to say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas because guess what... not everyone celebrates Christmas! There are numerous holidays that are celebrated during the Winter Solstice that get forgotten because Christmas has pretty much taken over the holiday season. While I understand and appreciate the sentiment of someone saying "Merry Christmas," I think it's better to be all-inclusive when celebrating the holidays. Don't just assume everyone is celebrating Christmas. Second, if anything has been hijacked, it's the various celebrations that take place on/near the Winter Solstice that people like Kirk Cameron feel completely entitled to because of Christian privilege. Let people celebrate Christmas however the hell they want to. If you don't like it, too bad. Feel free to celebrate Christmas with Jesus and all the other Christian traditions. No one is stopping you! But please, if other people are happier and more comfortable celebrating Christmas with Santa Claus, Christmas trees, eggnog, and not Jesus, LET THEM. This is a secular country, so stop trying to force your religion on everyone else by making them celebrate Christmas the way you want them to. Bottom line: nobody "needs" Christ to celebrate Christmas and Christmas has not been "hijacked."
