John MacArthur is off on his knowledge of Scripture. He fails to obey and preach water baptism as the apostoles did. And partake the Lord's supper every first day of the week. Whomever follow John will be doomed because Christ is our Saviour. I hope one day John corrects his errors in theology. The scripture is simple to understand. There is the commandments of God and the time it takes us to obey them in love. In obedience we are found just as Noah and Abraham and David etc. We were created to serve Him, common sense go's a long way. God bless you

Hi Aaron. The gospel not only reveals what Christ has done for us on the cross but what we need to do in God's word to obtain salvation. Salvation is not based on just Christ's death. Yes His death made it possible IF we abide in His teachings. It's a conditional salvation. Faith is necessary and is the foundation of our salvation. Just by believing you are doing something. It's a new testament, agreement. God puts the commandments and we abide. If we abide in His word He has promised that if we die we will live again and Christ is the hope we deposit our faith in. @@whitleyjm79 the problem with religious leaders like MacArthur Piper Late Billy Graham etc. is that they don't trace the simplicity of scripture correctly. The bible is easy to understand. There is no such thing as Arminian vs Calvanism. Those were men and sinners just like us. The truth is in Christ. John 14:6. Acts 4:12 1 Timothy 2:5. Sometimes you hear for example MacArthur sounding like what people call Arminian and at times he sounds like calvinism. Why? Because he doesn't teach it correctly. He believes it not how the apostoles taught it but how he learned it. His theology is not correct when it comes to mans plan if salvation. Just by saying water baptism is not necessary for salvation but Christ commanded it and it's at the center of the gospel preaching. Who are you going to obey Christ or man? Let's remember that every commandment has a purpose. W.b. is for the forgiveness of sins Acts 2:38 22:16 Rom 6:3-4 Gal 3:26-27 states we cannot say we are children of God if we have not put on Christ and to put on Christ is through repentance and w.b. for forgiveness of sins just as Christ commanded after His resurrection Luke 24:45-47 Matther 28:19 Mark 16:15-16 John 3:5. They don’t believe that the shed blood of JESUS CHRIST on the cross is good enough to get you to heaven so they add their works to the cross and that’s blaspheming CHRISTS work on the cross. No where in the Bible says we have to pray to a woman, Mary can’t save you or hear your prayers, the pope can’t save you, he’s going to hell anyway, baptism can’t save you, confessing your sins to another sinner can’t save you, a priest. You are to confess your sins to JESUS CHRIST in HIM only, communion can’t save you. The only one that can save you is JESUS CHRIST and HIM only.
