A former family that Ty and the team have helped are back to help another family get the home they deserve. The Marshall family have been trough a lot with their son Cameron who was diagnosed with
leukaemia however this diagnosis has not stopped him being a star and inspiration to all that meet him by helping kids in a similar situation to him.
The house that Cameron and his family live in is dangerous to his comprised immune system and with medical bills piling in they haven't got room to fix it.

Wow….I’m really at a loss for words, but felt the need to comment on one deserving family that were helped by this show volunteering to help another family in need. That was the coolest thing to happen ever! Thank you once again to all the volunteers as well as all the companies that gave this family a safe home.

from when I was diagnosed with cancer it took me less than five months I had to get 9 cycles of chemo i only got one cycle and the rest is history

My two favorite shows is Th Little House on th Prairie n Home Extreme MakeOver...but I'm not a Candidate to meet th requirements to get my Little House on th Prairie House... I just keep Dreaming while I watch th show... I want a wagon covered bed...

The truth as to what made these homes affordable for these families has been sitting in plain clear sight all along. If you take a look at the episode for the Wofford family from Season 2, there's a segment midway into construction when they're building the second floor. Paul DiMeo is hosting the segment where he clearly states "these walls are pre built off site". This is the answer. The homes they completely rebuilt were built using hybrid combinations of Prefab and Panelized wall construction. Generally speaking, these methods use building materials much more efficiently than traditional construction, thus the unit costs are up to 60% lower. In the show's case, although there was an increase in property values, these construction methods significantly curtailed that increase. These methods also produce homes that are far more energy efficient so that curtailed increases in utilities.

I like the idea of glass doors. But... With or without screens, that's an easy burglary waiting to happen. Unless you have security 24/7, those front glass doors would make me anxious of a break in.
