On the airframe time.... being an aircraft mechanic myself, how does the flight of the aircraft either more or less in a high corrosion environment effect the airframe as far as serviceability. Just curious how flying it will reduce its susceptibility to corrosion in the future. I understand loading the airframe through cycles having an effect. Does more airframe hours per year in a high corrosion environment assume it is being inspected for corrosion and corrected on the spot more often before it has a chance to spread or is there something else that flying it assumes.?

What are your thoughts on a continental 0-200-A? It’s in my 1974 Cessna 150m. TT 5200. SMOH 1950, SPOH (top end) 500. High compression in all cylinders, Borescope check is good... Runs perfect. It’s over TBO but after listening to your stuff, sounds like I might be ok for another 1000 hours!

If you want a perfect aircraft buy a new one, as long as it's not a Boeing 737 or de Havilland Comet :)
