The reason why the guy at the start of the film with Lynn says a divorce is because she asks him "what do you want from me?" and he responds with "a divorce". He wants Lynn all to himself because he wants her to divorce JEFF. She was popping pills to numb herself and just using the guy as a side piece instead of grieving with her family. This is one of my favorite Saw films, it's so well done. Also fun little note, Shawnee Smith who plays Amanda, pushed hard and made the suggestion that Amanda be a cutter in this because "it makes sense for her character". They trusted her and it worked great. I really love this one, great reaction guys!

Saw X does have a major Saw IV spoiler in its midcredits scene, so maybe wait a little bit longer and see Saw IV before Saw X

Saw III is my personal favorite one. It has the best writing for John and Amanda, Amanda gets her time to shine and Shawnee's perfomance is great! I do a Saw podcast and I've had Classroom Chain guy on as a guest, as well as Peephole Guy from Saw II, and director of Saw X. I could gush about this franchise all day!

Amanda didn't feel like she was the only one that was special. Yes, she had jealousy issues, but she was disillusioned by John because she had reverted back to some of her own self-destructive habits (the cutting instead of the drugs). She wasn't magically made better because of him and she saw through it. There's more to it than just that though, but you'll have to wait and see.

The reason they could bring Adam back for such a simple scene is because the actor, Leigh Whannel, was the writer on the first 3 films so was able to appear pretty easily

The brain surgery is the most gory scene in this movie and it's not even a trap 😂. But please watch at least Saw 4 cause there are spoilers in Saw X especially the mid credit scene

This twist with Amanda's game was so great, and that even wasn't the main twist of the movie.

I think you guys should watch all of the original 7 saw movies before Saw X because there’s some stuff in saw 4 that get kinda spoiled in Saw X. And Chester Bennington is in saw 7 sooo might as well just finish off the original series 😅

Saw X has one MAJOR spoiler for the other movies. So I really recommend not watching it until y’all get to *that* reveal. It’s also just a better way to end the franchise (for now) than Spiral.

Bridgette's hair color changing was making me wonder if i was on drugs lol. I've seen all the Saw movies except the new one (next week). If there was any trap I wouldn't want to wake up in, it's the pig vat. Even with The Rack being right after it!

36:29 oh he’s definitely a murderer, without his actions none of this happens, regardless whether he struck the killing blow himself. The only argument I could see as to it not being murder would be that a good lawyer could probably get it down to manslaughter, as murder requires intent, and they could argue that while the people did end up dying, the hope and intent was that they would survive. It’s a flimsy defence without some weighty evidence, but I could see it working with the right legal team and some clever interpretation of evidence. Doesn’t change the fact that Jigsaw is responsible for countless deaths and prosecution would have no problem making a strong case for murder.

I love how everything John says has some kind of hidden layer or deeper meaning. And he tests people based on their obsession or what he considers to be their fatal flaw. Saw 2, Eric had a habit of framing people for crimes they didn't do, gunning down unarmed suspects and being very violent and temperamental. So his game was about sitting face to face with John and remaining calm long enough to get his son back in a safe place. He failed. So he was left in the bathroom to rot and John continued his games. Jeff, is at a crossroads. He is face to face with people who either influenced or were witness to his son's death. To choose vengeance or forgiveness. But it wasn't just those people he had to choose for. It was also John. Could he forgive John at the moment of truth? No. So he lost his wife and now his daughter is lost as well. BUT, it wasn't just Jeff's test. It was also Amanda's because John knew she wasn't actually interested in carrying out his vision and rehabilitation. Her games were unwinnable. Both Jeff and Amanda were being tested to overcome their greatest obstacle. And they failed. Amanda will not be John's successor and Jeff has lost the two people he cares for the most. Game over.

BTW you should watch Saw IV before you see Saw X. Otherwise there will be a spoiler in post-credit scene

I'm still salty how they killed off Kerry the way she did. She was one of my favorite characters. She didn't deserved to die like that. Also keep this in mind guys, there is a reason why this happened and its really fucked up. Kerry was tested not because she quote-unquote "worked too much and being around dead bodies." The real reason is because Kerry was starting to figuring shit out. She already was sus about how Troy died and knew Jigsaw's MO. She knew how that trap was rigged and that it wasn't John's work. Kerry knew too much and basically had to go. She was a loose end in a way. Amanda killing her made me so angry and this made started to make me really dislike her. Didn't like how she acted here.
