I don’t think so. Everybody in said universe was horrible in their own right, and Gordon was simply brainwashed by the guy who tortured him. Jill was an attempted murderer married to another mass murderer who oversaw the killings of hundreds of people. Not a very happy ending if you ask me… just a bit bleak. Alas, it wasn’t the end it seems.

We did in X John with Carlos Having the chance to die for his son or save him And amada was there to witness and help. This allowed her redemption. X is my favorite its such deeper into john kramer and how losing Gideon changed him Would have loved to see peace made between him and jill as a side story icing on the cake But man Saw X was fantastic to the fan that knows saw. The carlos John trap was much deeper meaning .. As that what his son would have seen and felt .. In jill belly. Really well thought out movie and trap .. Thats John Kramer Most will miss it ... Looking for a hoffman high .... He is dead accept it.

We see hoffman in a mid credits. Him and kramer are in the final room where kramer gets left. Meaning he has been to the room and knows the layout...

I'm in a kind of similar boat. I watched the first two Saws years ago, then essentially watched a plot recap of the rest of the films. It wasn't until this year that I watched the whole series start to finish. I really wish I could've seen some of these twists blind

With what, exactly? Gordon took away the hacksaw, and I didn't see the toilet tank lid that Eric used to break his ankle. Unless Mark uses his hands and breaks his own foot, I don't see how else he can get out of his shackle, let alone escape the bathroom.

Amanda niether knew that Dr. Gordon was in on it. The only time Amanda knew about Dr. Gordon was at the police station where she was being interrogated by Detective Tapp and the time she abducted him in the parking lot of the apartment where he was cheating on his wife. So yeah after Saw 1, Jigsaw must have kept it a secret from both Amanda & Hoffman when he nursed Dr. Gordon back to health, gave him a prosthetic foot, and hired him to be his greatest secret asset, to set games that required surgical things and also in case both Amanda or Hoffman got wildly out of line violating Jigsaw's games, as we see here in this video Dr. Gordon capturing Hoffman with the assist of the 2 pig masked figures from the opening Love Triangle trap scene Brad & Ryan due to the fact that Hoffman at this point went wildly bat sh*t crazy out right murdering his victims without testing them.

That's very possible. Because unlike Amanda or Hoffman, Gordon truly learned the lesson John always tried to give with his traps. He cut his own leg to survive, and unlike the other two apprentices, Dr Gordon didn't have mental or emotional issues, we also see that while working with John he never put his personal feelings while assisting John and with the traps.

Yes. Nothing was said about him living or dying chained in the bathroom. One doctor, commenting on the traps of the franchise, spoke about the possibility of the character breaking his ankle to escape the chains without having to cut his foot. Hoffman is extremely intelligent and would definitely find a way to get away.

Unfortunately, this upcoming saw movie happened in the middle of saw 1 and 2 which means hoffman still does not exist at that time

I don't think Hoffman is ever going to escape because the hacksaw was the only thing he could have used to escape but Lawrence has always known Hoffman will continue to wreak more havoc. That is why Lawrence left him there to die.

It’s funny they didn’t show him having any concern for adam at any time either he just walked out and that was it. Never asked John again either. I dont see how Adam really failed either. The key was flushed down right away there was no way to know about it. Gordon failed just because he cut off his foot helps him I guess tho. It wasn’t a requirement to saw through your leg if there was a key. Also jigsaw would’ve had zepp kill his wife and girl because he didn’t kill Adam. Honestly he seems like a murderer in the first movie big time not like he is testing them and wants them to live.

Well, in a way fans still wanted more from the franchise so after seven years since the 2010 final chapter released, we got Jigsaw , everything aside, was decent as it was especially with it set half during present day and half in the past before John died but it still contradicted a lot of things and brought in another stupid apprentice who supposedly was the first ever one, Spiral 2021 was a lot more faithful to the source franchise but did end up having a stupid replacement jigsaw voice basically going with AI instead of OG John Cramer, I understand the reason behind that as it wouldn’t have made sense to continue having jigsaws original voice playing over on types so that it was a different spin on the franchise but still, and obviously Saw X was absolutely amazing, really bring the franchise back to its original roots

I think this is the horrible part. Imagine this being real. Someone leaves you behind in a nasty bathroom stinking of corpses in the complete dark, waiting patiently to become one of them in the end while the hours are ticking by day by day. I don't know what i would do if i was in his situation. Kill myself in short order or keep looking for something heavy to smash my foot so it fits through the chain.

I think Nelson has his own agenda Ain’t no way he’s one of Gordon’s disciple if Logan is the very first disciple of John. He wouldn’t work with Gordon since they both have different set of goals too.

The only reason people think those two are Brad and Ryan is because this was said on the commentary of Saw 7, it’s what they said was supposed to be in the script (but was later removed). The problem is they also said on the commentary of Saw 1 that Gordon was dead, and yet six films later and he is alive. Point is that commentary can and should only be taken with a grain of salt, as there’s history of it being overridden later. From what’s actually on-screen, it does add up that Logan was one of them. Dude would be motivated in similar fashion to avenging his own wife’s death at the hands of Edgar Munsen, he would see Hoffman killing Jill as something Hoffman deserves to be punished for. Also, for those who think he was away at war during Saw 7, no. At the end of Jigsaw, he literally says this “10 years ago, I came out of the war a broken man. Jigsaw put the pieces of my life back together.” That means he was tested AFTER he was at war. I know some point to the stuff Halloran was looking at as evidence of him being at war, but there’s two problems with this. One problem is the stuff shown like that in the Saw series is very inconsistent, some of it has conflicting dates such as the actual date of John’s death. The second problem is aside from the few “blink and you miss it” items (such as the ones with conflicting dates of John’s death), the films themselves don’t actually give the years in which events take place, only the gaps of time. So this all makes it a complete open question on what Logan was doing during Saws 1-7, so him being one of the pigheads fits right in. Who’s the last one? There’s no definitive answer, but I have two theories on who it is… Theory 1: It’s Daniel Matthews. It fits the other one being shorter and Daniel has the right motivation for it. By Saw 7, Hoffman’s identity as John’s successor is now known, so Daniel would know about him and in turn would want to get back at him for his dad’s death. The problem with this is I struggle to imagine why he would join John Kramer after everything he went through, and also this would then ask why he wouldn’t also want Gordon and Logan dead as well. But, there is one answer that may seem far-fetched, but can work, and no, it’s not an “Adam’s still alive” answer. Theory 2: The best answer I have that would work as a great twist if there was a sequel to Jigsaw is that the last pighead… is Eleanor. My theory is that the whole “she’s a fangirl of John” is a coverup, the truth being she was another apprentice, hidden like Logan and Dr. Gordon. The actual truth on her is she was actually a past test subject that was unknown, just like Logan, potentially was in a test that she escaped from, Hoffman found the trap and puppet, but no body, and didn’t report it so he could use the puppet to make his fake trap for Seth. As for why she would join, it would be like Amanda, she’d see it as John was right, she would just be more mentally stable, thus not lose her mind, at least for now. Her reason for going after Hoffman would be on the principle of “he’s strayed far away from John’s methods.” This idea of her already being in on it all even fits the ending of Jigsaw, when Logan says “Eleanor will be my alibi,” if she’s an apprentice she would totally cover for him, especially if she had worked with him at least that one time to get Hoffman. My full theory is John had two sets of apprentices. The main duo, Amanda and Hoffman, were trained to be successors, the other trio, Logan, Dr. Gordon, and in this case Eleanor, were observers. Only John knew about Logan and Eleanor, and only he and Jill knew about Dr. Gordon. The observers were there to be the backup plan in case Hoffman and Amanda both failed. This also concludes that one of the “secrets” John had for Gordon was to reveal the other two apprentices, as John knew Hoffman would be tough to bring down individually. So, yeah. It know this is a lot, and it seems far-fetched, but in can work and would totally tie the film Jigsaw in completely with the first seven films and even fix a plot hole from Saw 5.
