When I first went to get a shotgun, I went to get an over-under double-barrel. The guy at the counter talked me out of that, and instead coerced me into getting a semi-automatic shotgun, a Weatherby. I greatly enjoy this Weatherby, however, watching this video has re-ignited that original passion.

You dont see a lot of sawed offs with the full stock on. It looks really well built, nice blueing and quality wood. They probably couldn't bring themselves to cut that nice grained walnut.

Have you ever shot a shot gun with a pistol grip? If its just bird shot its ok try some buck shot. Its not like hollywood, chances are with a bigger load it would likely fly out of your hands if you shot it one handed

cuda861 Yeah they are a handful with a pistol grip. Pretty much hip fire only, hand on top of the barrels. A lot of times people will bob the stocks, cut about 3 or 4 inches off the back so its compact but you can still shoulder fire. Bobbed stocks are not much fun to shoot though.

Baikals are pretty good. Here in the UK they've been imported for decades. I have an old "Made in the USSR" single shot and it's got some wear on it but the action is still tight, bore is still perfect and the bluing for the most part is still good. Pretty excellent for a 30 odd year old gun, even had steel shot through it and no damage at all

+XTER VENDETTA If a double barrel shotgun has two trigger, you can fire both barrels at once. All three of my stagecoach shotguns are like that. If you search back through some of the pumpkin killing, you'll find a couple of videos where I did that in "giant pumpkin kills."

I recall on the popular television series, "Supernatural", the brothers each carried a saw-off double barrel shotgun. One brother carrier a side-by-side shotgun and the other carried a top-and-bottom sawed off shotgun. Both sawed off shotguns looked to be around the same length shown in this video, perhaps one inch or two longer. While the sawed-off shotgun looks sharp here, I feel it is too short. I'd be more comfortable if the barrels were two inches longer for slightly better longer range while retaining the same handiness. In the Old West this would have been a good stagecoach, mail coach, bank coach, cargo wagon defensive weapon carried by a security rider up front. But the barrels carried in the Old West would have been at least 18 to 20 inches. Sporting shotguns retained their 24 to 36 inches plus barrels.

They're not illegal if you buy them that short. I have a 12.5" barreled shotgun and it's a hoot! Just don't cut it shorter than 18.5" yourself, that's a big no-no.

The pdx 12 ga round are very good for home defense. 1 slug 3 buck shoot very accurate out to almost 100 yards with the right shot gun.

I cut a single 12 an hour after I got home. I kept it a half inch over legal. Put a slip on high viz green dot on the end. It just slips over. I removed the end cap from the stock and put a 9mm 22lr 38 357 magnum 45 lc 410 shotgun kit in the buttock. Then I put an ar15 mag holder on the stock that is velcro and holds the end on. Then I added a Mosin nagant sling. I love it!!!!!! I shoot mostly 22lr and 9mm and birds shot out of it. I keep a variety af ammo in the ar15 pouch. It weighs nothing. I can hit a pop can at 25 yards with the 9 or 22 no rear sight. Super quiet. The adapters look like 12 gu rounds made from steel. Just have so much fun with it. Everyone looks at it like huh until they shoot it then they love it. $99 gun. Total $220 investment including the gun. And I would never want it shorter. Half inch over legal is plenty short.

Funny thing, in Canada you can buy a shotgun of any length barrel as long as the gun is 26 inch over all AND you BUY it made with the short barrel. I have a double barrel in 10 inch. It's crazy! Lol

Yep, I purchased a Dominion Arms Outlaw 12 GA with a 12.5" barrel for about $300 from Canada Ammo and they're non restricted. I think its Chinese made imported in Canada.
