You did an excellent job setting the 'cut lines' of the edger. Those logs made beautiful boards. Thanks for the video!

It's nice to see several circular blades, horizontal and vertical, working in harmony. Greetings from Indonesia

That’s an awesome saw setup. The extra horizontal blades are something I haven’t seen before. So cool the nicely shaped boards that fall away.

@@Helmsburgsawmill I can only imagine! Once set up and dialed in, it appears you can really crank out some beautiful boards.

I must say I've watched a few of your videos and I really like watching. There's not a lot of talking, just sawing.

Hello, I live in New Zealand and enjoy watching your sawmilling videos. I would be interested to have a video tour of your operation and your control cabin if this could be arranged. Thanks.

Any videos on quarter sawing a log? I know how it’s done but it would be fascinating to watch.
@Helmsburgsawmill6 ай бұрын
No unfortunately the edgers keep me from being able to quarter saw

Where are you getting all that red oak ?

We buy logs off of all the local loggers and we have our own logging operation as well. I will say as the sawyer, we bring in the best stuff I cut
@daviddiehl-gy2sq2 ай бұрын
So basically you cut the grade lumber off and then left with a railroad tie.
@Helmsburgsawmill2 ай бұрын
That is correct. And hopefully the grade stays high enough
