I don't know why, but the edger end of this video made it about my favorite episode so far. The music and the way you guys were working together was great, and made me feel real good. Thank you. Btw, that flag probably isn't perfectly set, but this lifelong Texan is just glad to see it up there. Appreciate that fan caring enough to speak up but know that flag represents all your Texas-based fans!

Grandpa especially likes the White Pine videos. Takes him back to his time. He was talking about the million upon millions of board feet that was sawn in the 30's and 40's. He said with a laugh when the third feller (ZZ Mark) finally coming back that is the time to "work the pi** out of him". 😅😅 Then he was talking about when the load of white pine came in they would sometimes cut 12"x12" timber and the next sleigh came in with all of the lower limbs and those were mostly cut into 2"x4"s 8-10ft long. Those were some big big trees back then.

How nice to see "Men At Work" (old rock group}. Watching you process logs is like watching someone open a gift; you never know what is inside. It is sort of neat watching you take a shape that is not even or round and cut and make square sides. So about how long would take for that wood to air dry; a year???? It is always good to see you and your crew, "Cutting Crew" another old rock group.

Good to see the whole gang together and the house band in full pipes and tone. Here is a little something for Z. Hope I spelled his name correctly. ZZ CHOP M-Mild mannered A-Attentive R-Resourceful K-Kind Mc-Mentally centered C-Certain O-Outgoing N-Noble N-Nice E-Energetic L-Loyal With Sammy the sling saw, “Edgy” Edger they make a trio quite devine and dedicated in keeping the wood moving on down the line. From time to time will pull odd bits of wood for projects such as bird houses and signs or any other thing that comes to mind. He is a find and noble fellow indeed, and as true friend to all.

I always wounder why they always have to keep rolling the log to get a flat spot ? Why can’t they make a saw blade of about for foot in diameter ? This way they could make one pass of the saw blade ! It’s only a piece of metal with teeth on it but most saw mills have small blades !

All my local suppliers only have 50mm-60mm thick slabs, which is fine for a table top or mantle piece over a fire, but no good for my CNC projects where I want 25-35mm max. I'd kill for some inch slabs like these (but in a harder wood than pine lol). Since I only want a few slabs, the local sawmills are unwilling to do a spacial order, which is really annoying

Please flip the Texas flag you have on display in the saw mill. When the Texas flag is displayed with the star at the top " a flat display" the red is to the left and the white is to the right...I really enjoy your channel never miss any videos...but just happened to notice that Texas flag is improperly displayed...Thanks from "Texas Tom" from Round Rock Texas.

thanks Tom , we flipped this flag six times now and nobody is happy the way it's displayed so may it's time to take it down.

@markgalicic7788 Seriously...take it down is the answer. That hurts me to my soul. But I guess I would rather see it come down if you are going to continue to display it incorrectly. My suggestion was just that...a suggestion to correct a wrong...have a good day.

Sec. 3100.059. HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL DISPLAY. (a) If the state flag is displayed horizontally, the white stripe should be above the red stripe and, from the perspective of an observer, to the right of the blue stripe. (b) If the state flag is displayed vertically: (1) the blue stripe should be above the white and red stripes; and (2) the white stripe should be, from the perspective of an observer, to the left of the red stripe.

ZZ heard sirens at the end of one video and lit out of there like the Flash, poof-ZZ Blurr-gone, he was on the lamb from Buford T. Justice for about a month until that National Steamed Pike show. Who doesn't show for steamed pike? He said he got caught twice but he's a slippery sort. Now he's on mill work release.

This channel is so amusing... Old gear, old wood, a WONDERFUL old engine, and three or four old guys enjoying their work. Actually, I think you aren't really that old, I'm 77 so 'most everyone is more of the whippersnapper types than I 😅 BTW, @tomparker7140 is correct. He lives about 100 miles South of me, in the heart ❤ of Texas.
