how do we know that they paired up in a span of two weeks? Two weeks is how long he asked to convince her to stay on the Island. I don't believe that it was just two weeks and they're hooking up.

sawyer stuff... charming her with nicknames, unexpected jokes, self confidence and creating comfort for them, when she said yes he already knew she would stay :)

Kate and sawyer had better chemistry I’d say the best on the show couple wise . I do love the Juliet and sawyer story line . Good choice writing wise . Their chemistry worked just not all the time.

I agree but I dont think that Jack is that stable. Hes more stable than Kate and Sawyer but he returned to the island because he was desperate to go back where he thought people needed him. Except they didnt. Sawyer and Juliet were fine before Jack and the other came back.

His only real instability comes from his stubbornness and later when he leaves the Island and the lingering mysteries of his father's sightings unravel him because as a "man of science" such inexplicable things are like loose threads yearning to be pulled. And Jack began pulling...(the smoke monster, the Island disappearing, the sightings of his dead father)...at the various threads leading to his unraveling. Sawyer is unstable from a character standpoint. He self-loathes, he is selfish because he thinks that's what he needs to survive (he abandons Clementine and her mother, he sort of leaves Kate in the lurch when she reveals the "pregnancy" scare, he needs to be conned by Hurley into "leading" the survivors). Sawyer is also reckless...he killed an innocent man simply on the word of one of his cohort criminals. He short Tom Friendly who was unarmed. And yes Friendly took Walt but did NOT hurt Walt and actually wounded Sawyer in the shoulder rather than taking a kill shot (also the shooter wasn't Friendly). Sawyer likewise did NOT listen to Jack and pulled the wires when Jack (based on his dynamite moment with Richard in the Black Rock) said that MiB can't kill them because if he could he wouldn't have set a timer and placed the bomb so easily to be found. Sawyer didn't listen. Sawyer also foolishly exposed himself as allied with the newcomers when he helped Kate save Ben. The security tape etc exposed his recklessness. Despite his speech to Jack that he's cool and level headed, Sawyer really isn't.

@@victorpradha9946 I never said Sawyer was a stable character. He's done plenty of questionable things over the course of the show, but so have many other characters. I just don't like when characters are seen as one thing. Like Jack is good, and Sawyer is not. That's not true. They have good qualities and bad ones. There was a shift in roles during the fifth season which I really enjoyed. Sawyer became more level-headed when he got trapped on the island in the 70s with Juliet and the other survivors. Juliet played a big role in helping him become more responsible and less reckless than he used to be. Like he says to Jack: he reads and he thinks, while Jack just reacted back in the beginning. Sawyer could still be Sawyer, like how he always has to pick a fight with Jack, and even his security partners were scared to inform him of bad news (with Horace and his dynamite), but he had grown a lot as a character during his time with Juliet in Dharmaville. When Jack's group got off the island, Jack kind of lost himself. He became obsessed with returning to the island, maybe out of guilt for leaving all those people behind. Kate had Aaron to take care of, but she kind of used him as a way to stay in denial about everything. Jack couldn't handle leaving the island, and when he returned, he just blindly followed Faraday's plan with the bomb and didnt even want to consider the fact that it might not work. He believes its his job to save everyone and that was how. Jack is the type of character that needs to be needed. Stable isn't the right word for him. He's focused, he's determined, he's driven. He believes wholeheartedly in his mission.
