This band is so underrated, they deserved to go big. One of the most consistent metal bands out there, and this song particularly is considered a classic and probably their most popular. Other awesome Saxon songs you should check out are Heavy Metal Thunder, Crusader, Dallas 1 PM, 747 (Strangers in the Night), and Power and the Glory.

My favorite Saxon song. Saw them in around 1980 at The Troubodour in Hollywood. Small club and I was on the stage. They were at the leading edge of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Dual lead guitarists.

Saw them at the Georgetown Bayou night club back in '82'. Audience was screaming so loudly that they were SHOCKED at the reaction! It was the loudest I had ever heard an audience there. As a result, the band just let the crowd decide the playlist for most of the evening, 'cause, why NOT?

Parents gave me the The Eagle has Landed Live on Cassette for my 10th birthday back in '82 and since then, like maiden and acdc, has always been on my playlist...personally Rock the Nations is one of my fav albums

What an obscure metal band. Loved Saxon as a teen, but they couldn't ever reach the mainstream. Interesting choice.

He, they were one of the mainstays when I grew up and I still see them a metal festivals. Hardly obscure here in Sweden.

Another great choice from the "Not Quite Mainstream" groups! You should really check out Lynch Mob, Mabey Wicked Sensation or Tangled in the Web (hard rock with horns!). George Lynch is one of THE best guitarist out there, he was the lead player in Dokken before his other projects.

Try some power metal. Maybe Sonata Arctica - Full Moon, The Cage, The Wolf & Raven or Helloween - Skyfall, Halloween, Keeper of the Seven Keys for example. Progressive power metal is also a great genre because it blends those odd time signatures with catchy hooks. Bands like Seventh Wonder (Welcome to Mercy Falls, Paradise, Hide&Seek), Symphony X (To Hell & Back, Inferno, Paradise Lost, The Odyssey), Circus Maximus (Alive, A Darkened Mind, Arrival of Love, From Childhood's Hour, Burn After Reading). One underrated Prog metal band that gets no love on any channel is DGM. The album Momentum is fantastic all the way through. Great prog metal with catchy choruses and soaring bluesy vocals. Check out Universe, Tragic Separation, Trust, Hereafter, The Passage Part 1 and 2, Reason...just a fantastic band all around.

I love your last choices, from the Alice Cooper Full Album ♥ BÖC ♥ BTO ♥ Saxon ♥ I been shouting about them all so maybe i was heard *looking down* lol Saxon is ACDC and Accept united, more sophisticated than acdc and even more raw riff assrock han Accept. Biff's singing is second to none, squeezing the words all from the toes sings like he means it \m/ ♥ Many not mentioned songs that are c o m p l e t e nuts assrock riff rock like: Takin Your Chances Everybody Up! 747 (Strangers in the night) Heavy Metal Thunder Motorcycle man Midas Touch See The Light Shining Strong Arm of The Law Dallas 1pm 20 000 ft And now, bend over! : )
