In this video we visit the Saxon Switzerland National Park in Germany to hike one of the top hikes the Schrammsteine. This was an incredible hike that leads to a lookout over several giant rock formations. This hike has a variety of landscapes and even goes by several rock climbing routes. this hike is moderate to difficult and has several ladders and stairs.

Yes we loved the hike. The great hiking here in Germany is one of the top reasons why we love Germany. We can't wait to explore more of the national parks. What other national parks would you recommend for us to visit next?

@@trailblazinpeppers Oh, there are soo many good places... Thüringer Wald or the Harz are nice places for hiking in eastern Germany. :) Also the island Rügen is a good idea!

Happy Anniversary! Looks like a great anniversary trip. I was going to ask if it was easy enough for kids, then you got to that end area and I was like nope! Shout out to Lucas for climbing with Griffin. My legs and my nerves would have been shot!

Lucas is a champ. I can’t carry G on my back anymore. He’s 40lbs now. Way too heavy.

You guys might have noticed that there's a huge bark beetle infestation in Saxon Switzerland right now. Thousands of spruces have fallen victim to this problem. The sight is very depressing in some places. The national park administration hopes that the many dead spruce stands will be replaced naturally by a mixed forest. Greetings from Dresden/Germany.

Wow I have noticed some of the dead spruce. We are also having similar problems back in the US with a type of bark beetle. Thanks for watching!

@@trailblazinpeppers There are tons of trails here in the Frankfurt area. Usually they begin at the last stop of the S-Bahn. And off you go from there. Well, not as spectacular as SaxnSwissNatlPrk though…
