Saxophone Repair Tip: Easy Detail Polisher/Cleaner Trick

Жыл бұрынSaxophone repairman Matt Stohrer of www.StohrerMusic.com shares something maybe obvious with a little tip about putting a wood-handled cotton swab in a Dremel for a quick detail polisher/cleaner, using it in this case to clean what seems to be permanent marker from an otherwise excellent condition early Mark VI alto.

Hi, I'm in the UK and I want to get hold of some Naphtha, but there are a lot of conflicting opinions and articles as to what the equivalent might be here in the UK. Do you know of a good substitute? btw... Absolutely love the videos you've made over the years, I wish you would do more

Zippo lighter fluid I think (it's what I use anyway)

correct. I use Ronson lighter fluid for wick-type classic lighters - I recognize it by smell as naphtha. It stinks like kerosene.

Rubbing Alcohol will take ink off in half a second.

It will also dry out and damage old lacquer, if not take it off when used in the manner shown in the video.
