@@HomeRapidRepair I’m shouldn’t have been so snotty about it. You have a voice whereas I do not and It is irritating and frustrating to me how all the energy efficiency standards are being pushed onto the general public while the major polluters / contributors to climate change such as corporations and factories are seemingly let off the hook. I know everyone has a part to play in helping to save the planet, I just wish more was being said and done to target the biggest contributors. I realize you can’t change the world on your own, it just irritated me in the moment. I’m sorry.

I have noticed the quality is pretty low in many of these newer LED built light panels. I wish the quality was better.

Please take the step into the 2000's! There is a great variety of LED lights. If you buy the cheapest of the cheap then they might not be that good but even fairly cheap led lights today (like $5-6 for a box of two bulbs comparable to a 60-80W incandescent bulb) have a CRI of 90+ and are switched (if at all) on high frequencies that it not noticeable. Incandescent bulbs also broke prematurely sometimes. I have LED bulbs that are 10+ years and still going strong. I gave many of them away (they are still going strong under their new ownership) when I upgraded to smart lights (which are now 5+ years and none have broke). I think I have had 2 in total that broke prematurely but you can have a dud no matter what type of product. Incandescent bulbs have been banned in the EU since 2012 and apart of a few older people that "don't understand" the new lights ( i e they are not sure what to buy) we never looked back. I'm not all that fond of the fixtures with built in LEDs though, I'd like to be able to replace/upgrade the light source, but I have one such flood light (60x60cm) in my hobby room (I do color critical stuff) that I really like the light from. Beautiful soft, but very, strong light.

The current quality of these LED integrated light panels is so cheap that they will become literally as disposable as lightbulbs meaning they’re worse for the environment than what we had previously 🤦🏻‍♂️
