Full Recipe:
| Ingredients |
-1 half pork loin
-Ash Kickin' BBQ Honey Chipotle
-Tailgaters BBQ Party Rub
-Blues Hog Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce
| Instructions |
Prep:
1. Remove the half pork loin from the packaging and pat dry.
2. Trim any loos fat you don't want on the pork loin.
3. Season the pork loin with Tailgaters BBQ Party Rub, followed by a layer of Ash Kickin' BBQ Honey Chipotle.
| Cooking |
1. Set your smoker for 300º F
2. Put the pork loin on the smoker, and let it smoke until it hits about 130º F.
3. Once the pork loin hits 130º F, brush the raspberry chipotle sauce all over the pork loin, and continue to let it smoke until it reaches 140-145º F.
4. Once the smoked pork loin has reached your desired temperature, remove from the smoker, and let it rest for approximately 10 minutes, while loosely covered in aluminum foil.
5. After the pork loin has rested, slice, eat, and enjoy this juicy, tender smoked pork loin!

I just made one the other day. The only thing that always happens is the end 3/4 inch or so is always hard and overcooked but 95 percent of it comes out crazy juicy. I guess I could foil the ends at some point in the cook to reflect some radiant heat and maybe slow down the cooking there. Who knows….thats why BBQ is fun, there is always something new to try.

We have a pork tenderloin that I want to smoke but thought it was too cold. I see the MN sweatshirt and you said it was -10*. That is what we are at in Duluth, MN. Grilling tomorrow.

You have a fantastic rub. I also bought tailgaters and it was nothing like what you just put on that pork loin. Mine was pure powder and did not like it. Guess I need to purchase again to see if I just got a bad batch.

there is a Worcestershire powder in the party rub and it kind of settles and seams to kind of separate sometimes for me. Would recommend giving it a good shake to remix everything. hopefully its just that for you.

I've said for years, if you don't like pork, its because you've only had it over cooked. Properly done pork is tender and delicious.
