I used a Cloudlifter! SM57s are quiet mics. Thanks for watching :)

I’m surprised that Sm57 sounded warm in your voice. I’m expecting accentuated ssss.. and bunch of highs, but it was tamed clean! Nice 👍

Wow,great,how much gain had the mic on to record this?Did the room affect the sound in any way?

Hi Paul - it’s been years since I recorded this cover, but I tend to have my Focusrite 2i2 at about half gain into a cloudlifter CL-1 with the 57. Room noise is definitely an issue but can be mitigated by adding reverb
