In this episode, Troy brings us along for morning feeding, Keith has some projects around the facility, and we have to say a very sad goodbye to our wonderful shelter vet, Dr. Nancy. I’m so bummed Dr. Nancy is leaving, she’s an excellent vet and has a sweet, tender heart, and has done so much for y’all in the brief time she’s been with HPHS. Sad to hear about Prince. Doctor Nancy did all she could do. Saying goodbye to Dr. Nancy is not easy; everyone at Horse Plus and us here as followers on KZfaq will have great memories of all she had accomplished. Her hard work, love of animals, and dedication to her profession was wonderful to be a part of. Benjamin is in good hands! I'm pleased to see Blossom go to a good home....looking forward to updates!!

Dr Nancy wormed her way into our hearts. It was her love for the animals that drew us in & her expertise sealed the deal. Thank you, Dr Nancy, for putting up with the negative with the positive. We hope one day you will look back fondly at the memories made working at Horse Plus & being a video star. We love you & will miss you dearly. No one will be able to fill your shoes. ❤

A huge loss as Dr Nancy shifts her attention elsewhere. I think many of us are wondering about what’s happened to trigger her leaving as she seemed to have so many plans, but of course we respect her privacy. Perhaps one day she’ll come back? A massive loss….and very hard to fill her shoes.

Horse Plus and all of its fans have been blessed to watch Dr. Nancy show all her skill and experience helping the animals. I wish her and her family well but will miss her so much! She was the perfect blend of knowledge and personality to be part of Horse Plus. Dr. Nancy thank you for all your commitment to Horse Plus . You have helped save so many lives. As its already been said this episode is bittersweet, goodbyes are never easy. Dr Nancy is going to be missed so much she was like a breath of fresh air when she first joined you, lovely lady and wish her all the best just wish she did not have to leave. Hugs to you all x

Farewell and Bon Voyage, Dr. Nancy ~ You truly did so very much in just one year with HPHS. Lots of goodbyes in this episode. I love the Bell idea---people love traditions, and you're beginning a new one that's very beautiful. Enjoyed Keith, Elijah, Kory, Troy, Kimberly, and the volunteers too.

I'm so sorry about Prince. Dr. Nancy and all of you did your best. Dr. Nancy was so informative and you could tell how much she loved being with the animals and how well she treated everyone. I am kind of shocked a full episode was not dedicated to Dr. Nancy doing her thing in action, educating all of us as she did such a brilliant job. She needs to be a teacher in her field she is so talented when it comes to teaching. Maybe it would be too emotional for all involved, I can understand that. The bell is a cute idea! I suggest you ring it often, so that the animals get used to it and aren’t startled by the loud noise. If you have a cat in your lap when the bell goes off, you will appreciate this idea a lot.

Yes Nancy had made it truly exciting with all the procedures she proforms. I always wanted to be a vet but wasn't smart enough. So I just got tons of animals. Will miss you greatly you are the balance of the rescue. All the best in your future and God bless you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

So sorry to hear about the loss of beautiful prince. You did everything you could for him and giving him the last act of kindness was the best thing you could have done for him even though I know how hard it was on you, 💔💕🌹🐎 He knew he was loved, and he crossed the Rainbow Bridge with loving people surrounding him.🌈

So many good things in here, love to go feeding with Troy and his comments as he visits each bunch of horses. Lovely to see that he is taking Blossom home with him, they look good together. As usual Keith is a man of many talents, such a good project to turn the muddy whatever into a nicer area for working with stuff. More comments to come as I watch the next half of video.

Kimberly and the farrier (sorry can't remember his name) continue to really work well together. Pony Jazz is terribly cute, surely he will find a home soon. Seeing that whiteboard really shows how organized you all, it's amazing. So sorry to see Prince had to get last act but kudos for his owner allowing you to attempt to get him healthy. Dr. Nancy is a wonderful vet and person, so sad to see her go but Benjamin and his giant ears going with her is nice news.

Sad that Dr Nancy is going she was my favourite vet to watch with all the sweet babies ! I know Dr Nancy has already gone but is there a chance we can hear more about her next adventure? In the time she lead the veterinary team she brought expertise, kindness, skill and a brilliant way of teaching staff, volunteers and all of us about horse health care (and dogs, cats, donkeys, mules and I think I remember a pig or two?) Even newly adopted animals get a photo with their forever family - it would be fitting for a picture of Chatty and Benjamin with Dr Nancy and they head out to where they're going. Or, would HPSH be able to forward mail to her on our behalf? Would be a surprize to receive a batch of cards in her new mailbox. Safe travels Dr Nancy with your new charges-may you land in soft pastures, a warm bed and another incredible team. With much respect & best regards, from Salinas, California ❤🎉

Great episode - touched on numerous issues and allowed us viewers to see some of the horses when they've been in your care AFTER their auction trauma. They no longer have that awful look of fear in their eyes that most show when we see them at their initial post auction intake evaluation, before loading for the trip "home". Benjamin, Barn Cat, and Dr. Nancy make a cute little family unit, and will keep "Horse Shelter Heroes" a cherished fresh memory for Dr. Nancy, no matter where she goes.
