Sadly, the time has come where I have to say goodbye to my favorite car I've ever owned. Thankfully it was under good circumstances, I wasn't forced to sell it or anything. I always said it was temporary til I found an F150, and I did, so here we are. Filmed yesterday, July 13.

Lol it was ok but I prefer column shifters...although i guess as far as floor shifters go it was good.

Very cool two tone tan and black leather seats part of the outdoors themed Eddie Bauer also 2010 Would be the last year for the Ford SUV's to be offered with the Eddie Bauer edition

​@@isaac24I concur. The 2012 were not body on frame anymore. And they made them unnecessary bigger.

@@mr.2cents.846 They went to a unibody design to compete with the other manufacturers. I think it also got like 2 feet longer, which no one needed. Mine was EXTREMELY easy to drive because of how short it was. It's the same length as a Toyota Camry.

How did it drive with the V8? Felt powerful? Is it awful on gas? I heard it is even less thirsty than the 4.0L Cologne V6.

EXTREMELY powerful. You would step on it and it was GONE. About 300 horsepower in a small to medium size SUV. Plus a 6 speed transmission so it gets the power QUICK. If you are looking to buy one, with the V8, make sure that the transmission doesn't jerk or slip when slowing down. These transmissions are weak from the beginning. The V6 ones had a 5 speed one that was even worse. Fuel economy was great, I got around 18 city driving like a grandma, and up to 20 on the highway staying at 70. Also, and this is VITAL. MAKE SURE that the cam phasers have either been replaced or aren't clicking or ticking. If they are clicking or ticking, either figure out when they were replaced last or make sure you have the budget to drop a new engine in. These don't have quite as many issues as the 3 valve 5.4s do, but they do have cam phasers (3 valve 4.6) and mine were completely failed the entire time I had mine. It drove fine (built Ford tough) but it's not good for it, and it isn't cheap to replace the engine. Still, you are MUCH better off getting the V8 and dealing with the phasers than the 4.0 SOHC V6, which has all kinds of issues. It uses 3 timing chains, and working on them means removing the engine because you can't get to them otherwise. On top of other problems. Plus for a V6 they are super inefficient. Even with the cam phaser and some trans issues, get the V8. It's worth it.

Thanks for the swift answer. 6 years ago I fell in love with the 2010-12 Ford Escape Limited with V6 and navigation package. Two years ago I fell in love with the 2008-10 Ford Sport Trac Adrenalin with V8 and navigation package. Am dreaming of one since in lightning blue. 💙 Of course I'll get only the V8. 😎👍👍

The 2nd gen Escapes are WONDERFUL vehicles. You can't kill them. Well you can, by rust. Not sure if you're in the rust belt, but if you're not, these rust out worse than I believe any car made in the last 20 years. I'm serious. By 30-40k miles the subframes had holes in them. The rear strut towers rust thru and break thru the interior. The front struts rust out and go thru the hood. Subframes split in half. Etc. It's bad. We had one new enough at the time that it didn't do that but it sucks because they are bulletproof otherwise. I LOVE the original Explorer Sport Trac, but oddly never cared for the 2nd gen, even though it's arguably better in most every way. Good to hear. Even with the inherent issues, at least you'll have power and smoothness on your side.
