One of the most important things that you, as parents, are teaching your kids is to be honest, communicate your feelings and even if it is hard to do, you work through all of it as a supportive family, where each member has the opportunity to express themselves, hear each other, and love each other. Go parents, go kids, go family, and go with your relationships of love. I wish all families could raise themselves like you are doing here. It's hard to type when you're a big puddle of tears, but I just want to thank you for sharing your experience. I can't imagine how difficult this day was.
