Jimin explained that his album/tracks are retrospective of his feelings during the pandemic which he has eventually overcome. He states that he distanced himself from others, and drank and was lonely and thinking about how they cant do the things they love to do including performing. Like Crazy was inspired by the movie "Like Crazy", the MV/lyrics depicts him in a dream which he does not want to wake up from to go back to reality and facing himself. Then is set free as expressed in Set Me Free, the track that comes later after that in the album. I highly recommend watching yoongis show, Suchwita, with Jimin! Jimin speaks more about the album and the team and its such a wholesome watch!

My very first thought when I heard the retro 80's vibes of this song was "oh no. Anitra is gonna LOVE this" 😂🫰🏼

It feels to me like Jimin and FACE Team selected all the best qualities of the 80’s in the music, dance moves, interactions between dancers, atmospheres, drama, costume, etc for Like Crazy and have managed to elevate them to SUCH A HIGHER LEVEL! His voice fits this so well that it made me instantly go “of course this is the Jimin sound/genre”. The choreo: there’s nothing like witnessing true sensual ease and they pulled it off like so silky smoothly. I totally agree with what you said about the high level of dance skills required to pull this off. Jimin’s artistry is stunning! I swear I’m getting flashes of so many 80’s dance movies like Footloose, Flash Dance, and Dirty Dancing. And so much MJ reminiscing during the Fallon performance, too. I was 100% certain you were going to be in love with this song. I’m already highly anticipating your top 20 of 2023 to see if Jimin ends up at #1. Also, I appreciate you so much for not shitting all over Set Me Free because of the autotune and actually loving the song. I’m fucking obsessed with it. I’ve listened to it over 100 times at this point and it’s already in my top 5 favorite songs ever, but pretty much all I see regarding it is just criticism and negativity. Pet Shop Boys, Human League, Tangerine Dream, Depeche Mode, Thomas Dolby, Spandau Ballet, Tears for Fears, Howard Jones, OMD, Thompson Twins, Erasure, Ultravox, Berlin, Kajagoogoo, Eurythmics, Bryan Ferry/Roxy, The Yazz, Missing Persons, Yanni & so many others. In the 1970's, I also remember these pioneering giants of experimental synth music ... Isao Tomita, Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Wendy Carlos, YMO, Kraftwerk, etc. And of course, I know the one who is considered the Father of the Synthesizer, Robert Moog, the electrical engineer who did a lot to make the synth it became to be & all the way to today. Without Moog & the musicians listed above, we would not have gotten this retro 80's synth sound, as well as EDM Synthwave/Chillwave today, & of course, this song "Like Crazy". Thanks to Jimin for at least helping bring the sound back, if only for a brief moment.

I like Set Me Free dance more just beyond how powerful it is especially the running forward part. The first time I saw the 'Like Crazy' mv, my first thought was 'This is what I grew-up listening to. I love this'. then immediately thought "OMG! Anitra is going to friggin love it." My first comment is being held for review. Not sure why. I did recommend a video, so maybe that's why? Anyway, if you don't approve it it's fine. As long as you see it, that's what matters.

The more I hear this song the more I love it! When you were describing driving at night in the city and this song playing I was like yas! I actually have a playlist that was inspired by the stranger things theme song when the first season came out has some retro house dance music too as well as some John Carpenter remixes lol. What I really love about Like Crazy is the music is extremely retro but the melody he is singing feels more modern and yet it blends perfectly.

Sometimes i think the english version changes the sound of it but I feel like this is done really good. It still works well.
