Also, I've seen that in the majority of their videos, they offer dresses that fit the range, but they never go below the budget-they always either equal it or go above and beyond.

diana just might be the WORST consultant for respecting budgets. $4500 is already A LOT and why on earth would "elegant and understated" mean you have to spend SIX GRAND? i'm so sick of her bullying brides and trying to upsell them just to boost her commission.

It was very unfair and unethical to show the bride a dress 50% over her budget. It gave me a bitter taste in my mouth and I feel sorry for the bride's family who was put on the spot through unethical selling from the assistant.

It just makes me mad, when Courtney said a little over $4500. That the consultant showed her a dress way over her budget. That's why they should NEVER say yes to going over the budget. Even though Courtney looked gorgeous in the dress. She looked gorgeous in all the dresses!!! ❤

I've seen comments when someone in the wedding party picks out a over budget wedding gown for that person to pay the difference. How about telling the consultant if they pick over budget that they, the consultant would be responsible to pay the difference.

I agree with others, There’s no reason to go over budget! I’ve seen it proved on this show! Every size shape and age can find a dress in budget. It seems to be waiting for them. And think what they can do with $3K extra, it’s lot of furniture for a new house.

(For one thing it totally negates the idea of there being a budget and for another thing, you've just given the consultant carte blanche to go as high as they want!) 🤨 And are they trying to say that there's NOTHING in that store under $4500 with some sparkle on it?! Got to say, Diana isn't my favorite consultant. I feel she pulls dresses knowing they are out of the bride's price range. I am astonished when Courtnee says her budget is $4500, and Randy & Diana look at each other like it's not feasible and could she stretch it a little. You probably would get a better deal at a smaller bridal shop. You only wear the dress one time for about 6 hours, and after you get your photo's back you rarely look at them after the first year.

When i bought my dress i went to a shop, told them my budget, without asking if there was wiggle room she came in with a dress $2000 over budget. I walked out. Went to another shop and got a beautiful dress for $2500 under budget.

IMO Diane only wants to try and make a big commission and sometimes doesn’t have bride/budget in mind. Randy always says not to bring a dress in over the brides budget well that wasn’t done here by Diane OR Randy.

4:18. What Randy says here is the unspoken truth of bridal gowns. The better the design, the more simple and more expensive. It takes taste to go understated. And I agree with much that has been said, the dress should not have been shown to the bride. Beading is the most expensive thing you can do to a garment, and that wedding dress was covered in it.

I remember an episode where Randy kind of scolded another store for pulling dresses that were out of the brides budget and he said something like “You must ALWAYS respect the brides budget”. I like Diane as a consultant but she is VERY bad at respecting the budgets. In fact she mostly seems to use the budget as the bare minimum she looks at.

There is no excuse for showing a bride address that is double her budget. They do this all the time at Kleinfeld, which is why I would never go there to shop for a wedding gown. There are too many good bridal salons, who would not engage in these tactic.

Diane frequently pulls dresses that are above the bride’s budget. It is disrespectful. She may have an eye for style and what looks best on the bride, but her disregard for how much a bride or her parents can afford tarnishes the dress-buying experience. It puts undue pressure on the bride and her family, and that isn’t neither necessary nor fair. If I was a bride with an appointment at Kleinfeld’s, I’d run shrieking from the store if Diane was assigned as my consultant.

The dresses looked the same to me, yet the silly consultant pulled one way over budget and guilted the bride's entourage into making up the difference. I guess, she's on a commission, so maybe she's not so stupid after all which makes her ruthless. She's a smiling assassin to be wary of.
