People from the production of this performance shared that this was a one-take video, that SB19 & Ben&ben were just so good & professional & didn't make any mistake they were so nervous to mess up.

The concept (lights and walls/doors) are not just randomly thought of. They actually mean something significant culturally since, for Filipinos, we consider our fathers as the "haligi ng tahanan" (columns/foundation of the house) and the mothers as "ilaw ng tahanan" (the light of one's home). Also, the "lataratara" in the chorus of the song is not some random vocable for the song to be catchy but it was especially written by Pablo (SB19) as it was the lullaby sang to him when he was a child.

Lataratara is a lulluby used to sang to Pablo( the leader and lyricist of SB19) by his grandmother to make him sleep when he was young.

in the Philippines we call our mom as the light of the house and our dad as the foundation of the house. The light in the beginning symbolizes for our mothers, and if you see there are walls in the entire set up that is basically showing our dads. in tagalog, "nanay ilaw ng tahanan, tatay haligi ng tahanan". I wonder if justin thought about this concept because he is the creative dicrector. beautifully done! bravo!

at 8:40 the violin part is not the "lataratara" part of the original version, it's Ken's part on low voice "'Wag mag-alala, ipikit ang 'yong mata Tahan na, pahinga muna Ako na". if you notice, ken didn't sing his low part in this collab.

Hope you can react to the original version. There’s a new uploaded live performance of Mapa on Kalayaan 2021. Great cinematography, lighting and audio. It was shoot at 2AM after the band version. Ben and Ben is a great band but for me I still prefer the SB19 only live version. Somehow I felt like the message of the song has not been communicated well on this performance. I still love the original version bec the group has given their whole heart on it, wherein here they had to share the spotlight. I'm not a fan of big members group because I had so much to focus. Unless it's a festival I guess it's okay. Lol. But that's just my take on it.

Lataratara is actually a nostalgia insert. I think you can feel the nostalgia in the melody even when you don't know how significant it is to the writer (Pablo). You can just feel "childhood" from it, even when you don't have much of it. It's just a very warm melody. And actually, don't worry. There's a very high chance Simon Servida produced the whole album "Pagsibol". Simon did mention in his vlog for MAPA that he once mistook the instructions sent by Pablo for a different song as the theme for MAPA. Those instructions were for a darker theme, similar to Billie Eilish. It's definitely not MAPA, and although WHAT was a bit darker than their usual song, it was intense and fierce rather than dark. "Pagsibol" is also a word that appeared in an original song called "Determinado" that Pablo and Josue (Pablo's brother) wrote and performed. I'm pretty sure the dark tones for this album have several similarities with Determinado. Determinado was a dark song with several symbolisms and wordplays. It's probably one of the masterpieces in Philippine hiphop, just for the ingenuity of the composition alone. (BTW, I recommend you react to this song. It's a crazy song, to say the least. It also won the Djooky Awards, an international indie music awarding body.)
