"Mana" is short for "manananggal", the name of a mythical creature that splits its body into two parts: the upper half flies into the sky whilst the bottom half stays on the ground. SB19 used this as a metaphor that even tho they can soar so high and reach their dreams they will remain grounded. In the latter part of the song they were talking about "don't fall asleep" like literally saying don't sleep on their gifts or don't sleep on SB19 and their talents.

MANA IS THE BEST TRACK ON THE EP. I ALSO THINK IT'S THEIR BEST SONG SO FAR 😩 from the lyricism to the beat **chef's kiss** the song is about humility and i love how they used manananggal as a metaphor to say that even though they're soaring high with their career (just like manananggal's half body up the sky) SB19 will always keep their feet on the ground (lower body) and they will never forget to come back to their roots just like when manananggals get back to their bodies on the first verse "di mo ba ako na-miss?" ("don't you miss me?") SB19 prolly mocking the ppl who only remembered them when they got famous. they replied with "nah. i'd rather half my body go missing" on the bridge "aswang ba kaya kinakatakutan?" they're basically asking why people are so afraid of ppl like them who fly high but keep grounded. are they monsters? THERE'S STILL A LOT TO DISECT BUT THOSE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITES

Simon servida, one of the producers, showed the meaning of Mana as said by pablo on his video, check on his youtube channel. Pablo said that mana means a gift that was passed on, and he also made it as a reference to our mythical creature, mananangal. And as we all know, manananggal preys people who are asleep at night so their song is telling us not to sleep on them because they definitely have the gift. They have what it takes. I was really mind blown by that.

Just want to add on Mana song, according to Pablo from Simon Servida's making of the the Pagsibol EP video, Mana to him is THEY DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO SLEEP ON THEM CAUSE THEY'RE MISSING OUT. Manananggal preys on people that are sleeping specially pregnant women. I think that is the main point of the song, you can hear it in the ending "WAG MO KONG TUTULUGAN KUNDI"

My favorite song in pagsibol is Mana. Who would think of making a song about a Mythical creature in the Philippines? The word play and interpretation of the song is absolutely genius. Manananggal is a Mythical creature who people in the Philippines strongly believe exist but by theory cannot be proven because one has not been found yet. It body splits in to two, the lower, the vulnerable portion that's on ground and the upper half that has wings and wrecks havoc. I can't stop raving about Mana, definitely my song of the year!
