In repayment holiday or moratorium period (course duration plus one year), do they charge and add the interest amount to your principal amount? For example, if I take a loan of 10 lacs, for a course of 4 years and I start paying the EMI 6th year onwards (If I do not pay any EMI during course period plus one year), interest amount will be 2 lac. Do I need to payback 10 lac or 12 lac in principal?

Public banks do not require you to pay interest during moratorium period (Course Duration + 6 months - 1 year), However if you are processing your loan with private lenders, you will be required to pay full/partial simple interest. If you miss the EMIs/interest payments during moratorium it gets compounded. If you get into nit or IIT or some other reputed college then only you will get scholar loan just search SBI scholar loan then go to the eligibility criteria after that select premium institute see in that list your College is there or not

@@durgeshpatil9764 don't waste your time and efforts 😅, first reconsider your decision of studying abroad. If you really had to study abroad then go for private lenders and choose economic university in terms of tution fees. I tried government banks for 6 months with no sucess but in the end private lender gave me loan in less than 15 days.
