They changed the color palettes of the characters, you could say its a modded version of the game...only for the colors and music, notice the music when they go back to the character select screen. This is most likely the dreamcast port.

Fuck all these people talking shit about Ski. The guy is informed about the game, emotionally invested, and able to articulate what's happening in a match on the fly and at high speed. What more could you want in a commentator? I find him very entertaining to listen to, and his voice is one of a kind.

How can no body agree with this? MvC2 is an honest game. UMvC3 does allow for more creativity, and is practically more balanced, but losing to random things is easily the worst shit to experience.

I don't know what matches you watch, but xfactor plays a huge role in pro games, I can't tell you how many high level matches I've seen where pro players make lvl 3 xfactor comebacks killing whole teams.

@Vergilzelkin I'm not sure when this tournament was, but I think he was probably a little less mature and easier to anger. In an earlier match of this event, he played Josh360 and lost the first round to a perfect, and he was so upset about it that first he unplugged his controller, pausing the game, then plugged it back in, asked Josh360 to pause it, and then reset, giving up the round. Personally, I don't think it's a big deal. He's only ever given up a COUPLE of matches from what I've seen.

If there is one thing I hear Ski say more than anything else it's "That's such a rare miss by _______!"

@Realmasterorder i wouldnt worry they put he hitstun decay in mvc3 if im using the correct term. as sad as i am about it the infinites are most likely out now. If some are found now they would actually be considered a glitch to the game in my opinion. even so they still fun to do lol.

I won't disagree on anything you just stated because it's completely true. But not all characters benefit from only using magic series. On top of that, there are plenty of characters that require a brain to use. And on top of that, a lot of the low tier characters have hidden tech that no one has discovered yet that would dominate the scene until someone figures out a way around it. That's something that can't be said about MvC2 unless they're playing a zoning game.

With my sucky reactions (and rarely using more than one character at a time), there is no way I will play any Versus game against any one except the computer.

I'm not sure if you know this, mate, but they change up the music in this game for tournaments to make it more 'hype'. At one point they even put in, Souljaboy. No idea why, since his music is terrible. But, yeah. I guess they really liked the MK character selection theme and decided to use it. I, personally, like the original MvC2 theme when the women repeatedly says 'I'm gonna take you for a ride' :P

@RakeBone Well he definitely does still win a lot. I've watched his play extensively in MvC3, and while he hasn't won many tournaments for it, he has consistently taken something like 2nd or 3rd while the winners tend to change all the time. He's still an incredible player.

Not really anymore, you would barely see a Wesker since so many people know how to fight him. Even still it's one person you would still see other characters besides the maybe 10 people you always see in mvc2 fights.

And granted, I played MvC2 as much as I do UMvC3. MvC2 is still a better game since there isn't a scrub factor. But I don't go knocking off UMvC3 because it took a different route. Capcom made the game more like TvC, but instead of Baroque, they put X-Factor. It's basically the same inputs at that. Regardless of that, I still see UMvC3 as more balanced and more creative because of it's core mechanics.

@Realmasterorder hate to tell yo bro, but you're totally ff point. Cable is not a problem in high level play usually. Infinites have nothing to do with luck. These guys have tons of skill and smarts. You are teaching me not to knock a game before I know some deeper knowledge about it.

How does stale, repetitive combo setups, one universal launch button, no option to change game speed, reduced input difficulty and larger hit boxes equate to more creativity? I think the word you're looking for is user-friendliness..

MvC2 at its core, is a broken game. But players love the mvc series and there were no alternatives for 10 years. That's why it has such a strong following. MvC3 is even more broken, ironically.
