in Australia at my school swimming lessons were compulsory, they taught us about currents, rips and how to get out of them. we did first aid and cpr training. in geography they taught us survival techniques for desert, forest etc. i remember us watching bear grills in class and that was quite fun. when we were 16 it was compulsory that we had to go on a wilderness camp in groups of 15 with 2 guides and a school teacher/staff member for 2 weeks. we were dropped off at a location and then had to travel our way back to their base. we each had a sleeping bag, the clothes on our backs, a large plastic sheet used to make a tent for 4 and food and cooking utensils enough to get us by. of course the guides had a radio so if we did get into trouble there was other guides on standby to help. i remember my friend broke her arm so we splinted it and kept going (she said she was right to keep going). all in all quite a good experience and i learned a lot.

I'm happy the special forces guys didn't show off but showed how to do the techniques seriously. I can't swim but I can float on my back. This video was very useful and reassuring to me! (I liked Bak-goon very much when I saw this episode elsewhere; I hope he can return again to the show as either a student or member.)

I learn this when i was a kid, the basics of floating is not just floating but under different circumstances like strong waves, calamity there is the breathing techniques too. You must read the rhythm of the waves too if you try to breath air. Also don't think that the water is killing you, it's your mind that's making you think and you'll panic is the first instinct. Calm yourself and just float.

This survival swimming is very important. I remember learning this swimming in the sea during high school workshop, and that is the only swimming type that i can do. It was very difficult to completely loosen all your muscle and control your breathing. Swimmer needs to remain calm and not to panic when the wave comes. But with a lot training, this survival swimming definitely could save you from drowning.

Seunggi did do a lot of intensive training for Vagabond!! This really came in use for this exercise. There doesn't seem to be a lot he can't do.

Lee Seung Gi was a member of Special Forces when he did the military service. I think he is a guy with a special discipline and work hard to be the best in every thing he does.

Thats why I like this show..its funny but meaningful variety show. Lee Seung Gi as expected good at learning fast. Shin Sung Rok is really someone I missed alongwith Sungjae. I hope Sungjae comes back. Another thing I noticed again is this episode has a great opening after many episodes. The banter between Lee Seung Gi and Yang Se Hyung was really funny. And Dong Hyun as usual clumsy and innocently funny. The new guy is not bad at all. He was more involved than Cha Eun woo. I hope they don't introduce a new member just at the face value.

I can't swim but this is the only thing I can do. I was taught by the lifeguard during my trip. Really good to learn especially if you can't swim. Really intimidating at first especially if you are scared of water but relax and just look at the sky

In our PE class we do swimming. Aside from teaching the students how to swim, this surviving technique should be tought also in school swimming class.

@@ishqishika5791 my little old boy The show is quite similar to I live alone, but some cast being watched/monitored by their mom. The cast beside him is Kim Jong Kook, Kim Hee chul, Lee sang min, etc. It's fun to watch it. Totally recommend to watch the show.

I'd like to try that, I learned survival swimming floating with my legs in the water with my arms on the surface and my head turned slightly to breathe. This way seems more comfortable.

The technique is to take a breathe immediately after the moment you face is submerged underneath the waves and immediately hold your breath in preparation of the next wave. After that it’s just a matter of rhythm.
