Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a deal with Vietnam which covers energy, education, health and technology. The two nations also signed a mutual defence pact similar to the one penned between Russia and North Korea just days ago.
The US pledged all Patriot interceptor missiles produced over the next 16 months will go to Ukraine instead of the countries that ordered them. Washington expanded the scope of Ukraine's use of US supplied weapons against Russian forces.
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has once again criticised the Biden administration saying it's withholding weapons Israel needs to fight the war against Hamas. The White House has dismissed his comments describing them as 'disappointing and perplexing'.

In the 1980s and 1990s Vietnam was the one heavily lobbied for themselves and the US to move on from the war. Now where you and I would, probably, agree is the absurdity of the US who did the relentless bombing of Vietnam played hard to get, such that of a nation wronged by the other.

Kim and Putin agreed that South Korea has a right to exist without military tensions between the two. Massive agreement. US influence in the region is not necessary at some stage. An attack on North Korea would involve a Russian response. An attack on Russia will draw a North Korean response. Russia North Korea and Vietnam will do business on their terms. China's influence upon other Asian nation's is limited to business because of Putin's latest moves.

NK and VN have no money to support Putin and the alliance between Russia and North Korea means nothing as US , Japan, South Korea and NATO never have any plan to attack Russia and North Korea. Putin has make a fatal mistake by signing mutual defense treaty with North Korea and Vietnam because NK and VN have been under China’s sphere of influences for many decades.

@@fastpistonx A few years ago, some US based organisations funded the Vietnamese education ministry an education reform, the purpose is to try to remove history as a compulsory subject. Big debates, but finally the fifth column in VN lost the battle and history will be taught as a compulsory subject for general education. The US is extremely "thâm" (roughly translated as cunning).

Where was Russia when in 1988 China attacked Vietnam and took control of Johnson South Reef and five other reefs, in the Spratly islands, while their defense treaty was still in effect? At that time the Soviet Pacific Fleet.was still in Cam Ranh Bay on a 25 year lease from 1979 to 2004.

@@hn5460For Russia to get into a skirmish with China and forfeit their relationship is unwise. Preoccupied with the war in Afghanistan which was a real war (by the way) there is little chance it would have made a difference. What you said does not validate the attacks U.S made in Vietnam in the 70s.

Where do you get this information? Vietnam has 'four nos' policy, it means no partaking in military alliances with any country...
