Scafell Pike and Lingmell via Piers Gill from Wasdale Head the Lake District....
Wasdale Head is a small hamlet in the Lake District National Park. It is located at the “head” of the valley of Wasdale, and is surrounded by some of England’s highest mountains: Scafell Pike, Sca Fell, Great Gable, Kirk Fell and Pillar.
Piers Gill is a ‘canyonʼ descent with several short pitches and one longer one; and no place for a Fell Walker do not attempt to walk down the bed of the stream!!
It is not possible to ascend the stream bed nor is there a path on the west side do not attempt a route here. There is a rock 'step', approximately 10m high located around half way up Piers Gill the path leads directly to the base.
Scafell Pike is the highest and the most prominent mountain in England, at an elevation of 978 metres above sea level. It is located in the Lake District, Cumbria, and is part of the Southern Fells and the Scafell massif. Scafell Pike forms part of the inactive Scafells volcano.
Lingmell is a fell in the Lake District, standing above the village of Wasdale Head. It is an outlier on the north-west flank of Scafell Pike.

Hi Andy, brilliant video again. Thats a route Ive always looked at but never got round to doing it but I persuaded my daughter and her now husband to try it last year instead of using the tourist route up to Scafell Pike. They loved it and never met a sole up to reaching the corridor route. It looks even more dramatic on your video. Loving your channel 👍

Hey Andy, another cracking film mate, loved it. Crazy you had the summit to yourself and by the looks of it all the way up to, very lucky indeed. Great filming , stunning views and music as usual.
