My friend you are to be congratulated! What made me like it the most is that you had the sensitivity to put in your diorama beings that are part of the daily life of human beings! I see in this a great sensitivity! The lizard, the kitten ..... are part of our daily lives and the friend reproduced it! Really enjoyed. Today I am a naval modeler in wooden boats! A long time ago, I did platimodelismo But, seeing the works in plastimodelismo today. makes me want to return to the area and I have learned a lot from modelers like the noble friend! Thank you very much! In time! I live in Brazil!

At 2:00 I though for a moment you were going to say "now pop it in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees".

For a first diorama and figure painting you've done a stellar job. Should be amazing models to come with more experience....can't wait to see what transpires in the future. Great job 👍👌

I was not doing plastic modeling for the last 20y (wood sail ship) but since looking at your work well the taste of it came back. A joy to look at your work.

I really like the overall "natural" feel to the diorama. Well done!

a small suggestion, at 4:30, where you drop diluted white glue to hold the sand in place, you mind find it useful to pre-wet the sand with isopropyl alcohol and then drop the diluted white glue. That way it will flow much more easily and won't disturb the shape you have created on the sand

Looks great, and you made a good choice going with a German subject, it is really difficult to find figures for British, Italian, and Japanese subjects, but there is no shortage of German, Soviet or American options!

Outstanding work!! I really like the details and your skills to achieve perfection. Regarding details and perfection, I would suggest to repaint the "Balkenkreuz", the German Wehrmacht insignia - your white part is to big, the black one to thin. Just inverting it - black part strong, white part small. You can compare it on historical photographs of the AEC or "Mammut" as the Germans called it.

Amazing model and diorama. What you're using for a flat-Matt varnishes I mayd missed in previous video?
@pebblesthecat36254 жыл бұрын
For a first diorama is great. Their clothes still look a bit too pristein - no rips or tears in the clothes, no patches or stray threads anywhere. No socks hanging up after a quick wash, or a small bowl of water with shaving foam and a razor nearby. If they're going to stop and open up the canopy, these are the "quick" things they would do, and it will give you ideas for next time. (My uncle - Joe Lawson was in the Cheshire Regiment - a "Dessert Rat" and fought against Rommel's forces in North Africa. I used to love listening to his stories about this time in his life. He never would talk about any actual killings he had to make, but would go into great details about times like this, when they could rest for half a day and the mundane things like getting a chance to wash your socks and underwear after wearing them for a week or getting the razor out were "luxuries").

Great! Will be useful for me; I wil try to re-create famous Mirage Hobby dioramas (Mława 1939, Smoleńsk 1941 and so on) but in 1/72 instead 1/35, so the way how to prepare materials for base is great help. Thank You, and all the best for You! ;)
@Pedro.Chapps4 жыл бұрын
there are loads of tutorials on how to paint figure on youtube using a wet pallet this is the best way to paint them, Also to have your figures stay in place put a pin in one of teh feet and glue that into the base it works better to keep them in place when you are moving it about. Overall its a nice Scene and the figures turned out decent for a first attempt
@Scaleaton4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for the feedback. Yes I am not satisfied with the figures. That technique takes lot of time. Next time I will try to paint figures with my airbrush.

Nice! VERY VEY NICE
@henryschmidt6364 жыл бұрын
Did you seal with a matte varnish after you applied chalk to the figures? I like the affect and will try that. I find pinning the figures makes avoiding your body oils ruining your hard work and placement in the diorama more long term.

Great result, I like how you put all the info on the screen too along with the commentary. Can you tell me what kits were used on this build, if you said I missed it , and also the little lizard, I'd like to add some small animals to my dioramas but haven't seen any anywhere. Thank you

@Scaleaton4 жыл бұрын
@cemaa43384 жыл бұрын
@@Scaleaton Yine de iyi olmuşlar. Bu dragon set, Tamiyanın kitin yanında verdiği (güncel kalıplardan bile) iyiler. Fırçada bende çok zorlanıyorum. Figürcüler genelde ıslak palette çalışıyor. Aynı katı defalarca uyguluyorlar. Modelcilikte en korktuğum şey figür. Zerre beceremiyorum ama güzel yapılanlara hayranım.

You should've made some nice borders for the diorama, with thin strips of balsa wood.

Why don’t you pin your figures then they can be pushed into the diorama base, or drilled if it’s a hard base. So what are your crazy ideas? Keep up the content 👍

I love your work, but the eyes are not working. I used to paint this scale many moons ago (half a century actually!), pupil first, then iris, then white, then eye shadow, then flesh around. That way you can get really fine, but the iris needs to be a softer colour to avoid the staring look.
@kal.50bmg324 жыл бұрын
That result does not convince me. It really sucks.
