Hi again Slot - brother. The motor shaft holds the pinion gear. The rear axle on an inline setup holds the crown gear. On a angle or sidewinder setup - it's a spur gear. Hope that's a help. Best Regards, Jack

Hi Dave, good review on the F1 cars. Just a comment regarding the teams, the modern blue and pink is Team Alpine, the red and white is Team McLaren and blue and green is Team Benetton.

It's the Crown gear not spur.

Thank you for the correction, so there are pinion gear, which is the large gear, the gear on the motor is the Crown gear, what or where is the pinion Gear? Thank you for helping me learn. Respectfully yours, Guru Dave

@jackgabbert3233 I think I understand better now: On the motor is the Pinion Gear: but depending on whether or not it’s an inline motor, which gets a crown gear, and a sidewinder or angle winder get a Spur Gear. So the larger gear is either a Spur gear or a crown gear. I learn something new everyday
