In this video we will be looking at a set from the late 90s - the Scalextric Formula One Ferrari 643 vs Williams Renault FW15 set.
This is what could be described as a quintessential Scalextric set, Formula One cars, red vs blue, and plenty of varied track pieces.

Ah man this is a quality upload! Absolutely brilliant to look back at some of the old sets and cars, I think between the 80's, 90's and 2000's are the best years for looking back at the cars and sets that were available purely for nostalgic purposes! Keep these videos coming please Mr Scalextric! 😁👍

Great feature I remember seeing this set but my first set which I still have was the Escort rally set with the Michelin pilot escort cosworth and the Fina livery Escort cosworth. One thing I have noticed the older track has a much more deeper texture to the new track which helps the older cars grip better.

Great video, we recently got a Formula One out but it didn't have a great result, fantastic experiment and god to see this classic track working so well :-). Thanks for the memory lane, great set!

Excellent nostalgia piece! Love what Scalextric does to support their products. Frequent videos, interesting content, high production... all of it is just fantastic.

Classic scalextric license issues, that williams and ferrari design should have been binned off in 1995, everything moved on, and scalextric stood still, slapping new numbers on old models and moving a sponsor or two to create the illusion of "new" such a shame of what could have been
